We’re just a short while away from the start of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. It’ll be a shame to see the first season go, but it’s always exciting to see what’s coming next for the Battle Royale. Often, the end of the season goes out with a bang. Is there a Fortnite live event today?
Epic has started to host some live events much more often. We might not have gotten fall events like Chapter 1 and past Fortnite seasons, with fully blown events to close out each season, for a while. But they’re back now, with each Season seemingly having an event of one size or another.
There isn’t a Fortnite live event today, but it is very soon! If you log into Fortnite right now it’s hard to miss the giant beam on the map marking where the event will start. However, we haven’t quite arrived at the live event date just yet.

There is a Fortnite live event today!
The Fortnite live event will be taking place on February 15th, in most time zones.
The next Fortnite live event is going to happen on Saturday, February 15th at 3:30 PM ET! That’s when the gates that have been developing over teasers for a few days will open fully, and we’ll move on with the Fortnite story.
As might be clear, this isn’t when the Fortnite season ends. It’s going to be one of those events that begins quite a bit before the season moves on. Giving us a bit of spare time to mess around the world of Fortnite with the unchanged map. Then we actually catch back up a week later, to move on as the event implied.
While going from the event into downtime or a final few hours is exciting and helps to build anticipation, it’s not always the case. Like Chapter 5 saw quite a few early events, with spare time afterwards. We should get a bit longer to enjoy the fun Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 weapons meta before we move ahead into Chapter 6 Season 2.
We’re only just seeing our final Fortnite Live Event before Chapter 6, but we already know when we’re getting the next one. And we’re expecting one of the biggest events to start up pretty soon.
The next Fortnite Live event will come to celebrate the end of Chapter 6 season 1. It’s the first of Chapter 6 as a whole. It seems it’ll be based around the rift gates that have been on the map all season. One of them seems to be developing quite a bit at the moment. This will be our final event before when the Fortnite season ends.

Fortnite dataminers dig through the files regularly to find things that will happen to the game. This time we’re expecting a normal event, rather than the two bigger ones we’ve had in Chapter 5’s ending. Although, it should be fun to see the first event of the new map happen.
