Fortnite has tons of cosmetics, but free ones are always better. At the moment, Epic has just launched a new bonus Fortnite cosmetic. For the next few weeks, players can unlock the Wastelander’s Revenge Glider in-game without going through the item shop, although this is more of a bonus reward than a free one.
This Glider is styled to fit in with this season’s theme, with even a pattern seeming to match Megalo Don’s aesthetic. The back bling would be a great fit for Fortnite skins in the Battle Pass right now. you can’t unlock it through the normal levels though. Nor does it come from bonus rewards or something else in-game. Instead, this is one of the Fortnite cosmetics that you’ll need to venture into the real world to collect! This is how it works.

The new glider is available to players as a bonus, it isn’t being sold by itself. How exactly does it work? Epic is giving the glider out for free for anyone who redeems a V-Buck gift card. Do that, and when you claim your V-Bucks n-game you’ll automatically get the glider. Players have until August 11th to unlock the Wastelander’s Revenge Glider in Fortnite.
In this time period, all you’ll need to do is pick up a physical V-Buck gift card. These are gift cards that you redeem in the Fortnite Item Shop to collect v-Bucks. Only for the next month, you’ll receive a revenge glider too!
This is the only way to unlock the Wastelander Glider right now, but it won’t be exclusive to physical cards in the future. Epic’s little disclaimer for the item clarifies it can be claimed in the item shop at a later date So while this is a way to get it for free, it isn’t an exclusive item you’ll see climb up the rarest Fortnite skins list in the future.
