When is the Fortnitemares 2024 Update?
When exactly can we expect the Fortnitemares update to actually arrive in the game? Epic has confirmed when the release date for the next update is going to be after their current delay.
The Fortnitemares update is due to start October 12th, in the very early hours for most players! It’s due to start on Saturday, after a delay pushed it back from Friday. This is the release time for the update:
- 12 AM ET
So once the game is back online after this, Fortnitemares will begin! It’s then when we can expect to see new collabs like the extra Nightmare Before Christmas skins. Plus the release of other new content.
Normally Tuesdays are our intended update release dates. However, we’re getting Fortntiemares for the weekend this year. Giving us a good few weeks with this content before we move on to the next season, and Chapter.
What’s Coming in the Event?
Looking ahead to Fortnitemares 2024, there are a few different features we’re expecting. Most unknown right now is gameplay. Fortnitemares is a time when Epic typically makes major changes to Battle Royale. We’ve had werewolf transformations, ghosts, and second chances for players, plus loads of different and creative content. Last year was a bit duller though, with no real gameplay changes outside of perma-night and a boss from the Battle Pass getting updated.
Hopefully, this season we’re due to get a bit more for Fortnitemares. It’ll be good at least to get classic Halloween items back like the Witch’s Broom and Pumpkin Launcher.
We’re also expecting anew Fortnite event pass. With a wolfman skin on offer along with other cosmetics. There are plans for big changes to the map too.
Over in the item shop, we’re expecting more Halloween skins. Likely the return of past skins like Michael Myers and Jack Skellington. However, we’ll have to hold on to see what collabs come this year! There’s been some interesting ones in Fortnite leaks so far.
