Jax even in the modern era is still on of the best top picks, and it’s no wonder he’s ranked so high in our LoL top lane tier list. He has seen some adjustments over the years, but the way in which Jax plays is relatively the same. On top of that, Jax has some of the nicer skins in the game.
He has 16 skins in total, some of which are no longer available for purchase.
Although he’s one of the champions with most skins in LoL, in this article we’re only reviewing our top 5 favorites.

Conqueror Jax is one of my favorite Jax skins, although it’s unfortunate that players cannot purchase this in the official League of Legends store anymore. This skin was an event skin to celebrate the start of MSI in Reykjavik in 2021. The green on this skin is visually stunning, and Jax looks amazing in this skin.
Players can however still earn this in the Your Shop event, and through Hextech Chests.

Empyrean has always been an amazing skin line in League of Legends, and Empyrean Jax continues this impressive streak of skins. This skin came out in 2022, as part of the LoL Empyrean skins line.
In the lore for this skin, Jax has a sad backstory. His realm was destroyed, and he wonders around looking for any sign of life that links back to his home world. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a ruthless streak, he will scrap with the best of them if need be.

Probably the most popular Jax skin, God Staff Jax is just incredible, and I always use this skin when picking up Jax in the top lane. The golden effects on this skin stand out amongst the crowd, and the animations are breathtaking. God Staff Jax is one of the older League of Legends skins this champion has, but it stands the test of time.

A skin so nice, they made it twice. Prestige Conqueror Jax came out after the success of the original skin that was used for the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational. Personally, I think I prefer the original to the Prestige version. The green mixed with the Prestige gold doesn’t really work for me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a really nice skin, as is almost every LoL Prestige skin that Riot creates, it’s just one of those rare occasions where the original skin is better than the Prestige version.
Players can only get Prestige Conqueror Jax via the Mythic Shop.
When they announced PROJECT: Jax, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. But once it was released, I was fully on board with the idea of a futuristic Jax skin. The dark blue colors mixed with the PROJECT armor is incredible, and definitely deserves its place amongst the LoL PROJECT skins line. I am surprised it is the standard price for a skin, that in my opinion, is worth more than 1350 Riot Points. I thought this was going to be the Jax skin that gets a Prestige version, with the armor being white and gold while keeping the blue, it would have looked amazing in my opinion.
