EMEA Champions Queue – Where is it?

After the end of the MSI Champions Queue, the special ranked ladder was supposed to return in June, but there haven’t been updates in that regard.

It looks like that considering the Summer Split started shortly after MSI, paired with the busy schedule for both LEC and ERL teams, have brought Champions Queue to a halt. Will we see it return later this year? The most likely scenario is to see it implemented during the month of September, once most teams have finished their season and the LEC teams will have to practice for Worlds 2023.

EMEA Champions Queue Leaderboard – MSI (Daily update)

There are currently a total of 33 players registered for the second split of the MSI Champions Queue. Aside from the players that will be competing at MSI and LEC players, CQ will also feature pros coming from the major ERLs like the LFL, LVP, Prime League, and Ultraliga who have hit Challenger this season. On top of that, there will be some special non-pros as well, approved by the CQ commitee.

With MSI underway, it will be interesting to see whether MSI pros will be able to take the No. 1 spot on the leaderboard.

Champions Queue Standings and Stats (May 16, 10:00 CET)

The current no. 1 on Champions Queue continues to be PAR Jopa, ADC for Partizan Esports from the EBL. The Croatian player has been leading the MSI CQ for quite a few days, and he’s the only one above the 2100 barrier (2111 LP), with a total of 18 wins and 9 losses.

Behind him, we have VITB Patkica, the top laner of Vitality’s academy, sitting at 2096 LP. He didn’t play games on CQ over the weekend, as he continues to be the undefeated player on an 8-win streak. Right behind him, we have GIA Stend, the support player for the Spanish team Giants: he has played quite a lot of games, with 26 wins and 22 losses on the board.

VIT Upset, BDS Adam, BDS Crownie and SK Sertuss are the notable LEC players currently in the first top ten. KOI Trymbi has dropped to 13th at 2052 LP.

T1 Keria hasn’t played a game over the weekend, considering the series he had against Gen.G. He’s 28th with 7 wins and 3 losses (2034 LP). Zeus also hasn’t played a game of CQ in a few days.

There is a total of 128 players currently in CQ. Below are the top 10 at the moment and their LP:

EMEA Champions Queue Leaderboard – Split 2 (Mar. 12th update)

There are currently a total of 44 players registered for the second split of the EMEA Champions Queue. Aside from the players that participate in the LEC, CQ also features members coming from the major regional leagues like the LFL, LVP, Prime League, and Ultraliga.

Since the split has just begun, lots of players are still missing, including many from LEC teams. Players like Bo and Chasy are just some of the “big names” missing from the queue so far. Surprisingly, G2 has its entire team already registered on the queue, after some of them didn’t play initially in Split 1.

Champions Queue Standings and Stats

The current no. 1 on Champions Queue is G2 Mikyx. The support player is sitting at 2057 with a 70% win rate. Astralis’ new mid laner LIDER is behind him at 2051 LP, with an 83.33% win rate.

Given that it’s just the start of the new split, we are likely going to see more players rising up the ranks. For now, though, this is the current top 10 on CQ:

EMEA Champions Queue Leaderboard – Split 1

There are currently a total of 236 players (on Feb. 9th the total was 232) on the EMEA Champions Queue. Aside from the players that participate in the LEC, CQ also features members coming from the major regional leagues like the LFL, LVP, Prime League, and Ultraliga.

That said, not all players have been actively grinding the queue, as some have only played a couple of games. Some of these are also LEC players, including the likes of Szygenda, Wunder, and Xerxe. Two G2 players are not actively playing CQ: Caps and Hans Sama have only have six games played combined.

The LEC teams that have been grinding the most are Astralis and SK Gaming: 9 out of 10 players have already played more than 20 games so far (SK mid Sertuss is the only one with 14 games).

There are five players, on the other hand, that haven’t stepped on the EMEA Champions Queue yet. These are FNC’s Rekkles and Razork, MAD’s Hylissang, VIT’s Kaiser, and KOI’s Larssen.

  • The player with the lowest amount of LP is still 5R SSADY (he already was the lowest on the last update, currently sitting at 1923LP), with EXD Slipper and Ribu slightly ahead of him at 1933 and 1936 LP respectively;
