PUBG Mobile Esports 2025 Roadmap Announced; Check Details

In the PMGC 2024 Grand Finals, PUBG Mobile publisher revealed an extensive roadmap for the coming esports season of 2025. This includes investments worth $10 million to keep growing and strengthening the global esports ecosystem. Three global tournaments, with an extended PMSL framework, including PMGO and PMWC, are seen to fuel a season full of intense fighting and growth.

PMSL Extends to Five Regions

The PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) is to be expanded into five regions: Southeast Asia, Europe, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), CSA (Central and South Asia), and the Americas. This is on top of last year’s 2024 format that combined Europe and MENA as one region.

The PMSL, both Spring and Fall, is one of the primary qualification routes for teams to participate in international events. Launched in 2023 for Southeast Asia, the Super League has expanded into a global stage, forming an integral part of the PUBG Mobile esports ecosystem.

Three Major Global Tournaments

PUBG Mobile will host three major international tournaments in 2025:

  • PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO): This will be held in March and April in Uzbekistan. Teams will qualify through PMGO qualifiers. This is the second edition of the tournament after its first run in 2024 in Brazil.
  • PUBG Mobile World Championship (PMWC): The PMWC will take place in Riyadh and coincide with the Esports World Cup, featuring the best teams from the PMSL Spring season.
  • PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC): PMGC 2025 would take place in Thailand and marks its sixth edition of this championship. It brings in the teams performing the best at regional PMSL tournaments and compete for the top-most position in this prestigious tournament.

It has not been stated by PUBG Mobile regarding prize pools of the 2025 tournaments but the size and diversity in those tournaments depict PUBG Mobile’s commitment towards cultivating competitive atmosphere.

Local Tournaments to Enhance Grassroot Level

Along with the international tournament, in the PUBG Mobile Esports 2025 Roadmap publisher has revealed many local tournaments held in 2025 be retained. With all of its hard work, the publisher will aim at bringing more budding talents to play and popularizing the game. It is through the same strategy that it will further widen up the competitive ecosystem and would keep PUBG Mobile a major leader in the category of esports.

PMGC 2024 Grand Finals

The PMGC 2024 Finals was held in the UK. It wrapped up on December 8. The tournament had already grabbed everyone’s attention globally as it comprises a $3 million prize pool. The winning team, which was Dplus KIA, took home $400,000.
