
Team Vitality enters MLBB esports with Bigetron Era female roster
Team Vitality has announced that it’s entering MLBB esports, through an all-female roster. The organization has picked up the Bigetron Era team which bid farewell to Bigetron Esports earlier today. In the announcement of the roster, the organization said that it is coming for the Esports World Cup Club Championship title.

Team Vitality to compete in the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) in the Esports World Cup
Team Vitality is a part of the Saudi-government-backed Esports World Cup Foundation’s Club Program, which encourages organizations to field rosters across multiple games and promote the tournament. Additionally, the Esports World Cup 2024 will be rewarding $20 million through the Club Championship. As a part of this, the esports organization with the best performance across different games will be crowned the Club Champion.
Thus, Vitality is aiming for the Club Champion by entering MLBB esports’ female division. The MWI 2024, set to take place in Riyadh as a part of the Esports World Cup will happen from July 25 to 28. Bigetron Era had already qualified for the tournament through the local all-female tournament in Indonesia. With the acquisition of the entire roster, they will now be competing under the Team Vitality banner.

- Dewa “Dewa” Fabian: Analyst
The team is undoubtedly the most successful MLBB women’s team and have won almost every tournament they have participated in. This includes the MLBB Women’s Invitational 2022 and 2023. They are undoubtedly the favorites in Riyadh this time as well.
Bigetron Esports bids an emotional farewell
Most of the core roster have been playing together since 2021 under Bigetron Esports, one of SEA’s most prominent esports organizations. Today’s announcement came as a huge surprise to everyone as the org bid farewell to its most successful roster. Edwin Cha, the founder and CEO of Bigetron, also posted a video bidding farewell to the roster and wishing them the best. For fans, it will certainly be a big change to see the stars now competing under different colors.
From Vitality’s perspective, this is a win-win, and a win on top. The team is one of the favorites to win the MWI. Additionally, all-female esports for MLBB have a huge viewership. For example, the all-female MLBB tournament in the SEA Games 2023 recorded over a million peak viewers. Furthermore, the roster will also be competing in the next season of the MLBB Development League (MDL) Indonesia, which is the second-tier league behind the Professional League (MPL).
With this acquisition, Vitality has teams in nine of the 19 games in the Esports World Cup 2024.
