Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Roadmap: Solid Snake, Ranked Changes, R6 Mobile
Ubisoft used the Six Invitational stage to lay out its plans for Year 11 of Rainbow Six Siege — and it’s one of the most ambitious roadmaps the game has seen in years.
The focus is clear: double down on core 5v5, clean up competitive integrity, and keep seasonal content flowing. It all begins with Season 1: Operation Silent Hunt, launching March 3.
Solid Snake Joins Rainbow Six Siege in Operation Silent Hunt
Season 1 introduces a permanent crossover operator from Metal Gear Solid — Solid Snake.
Solid Snake arrives as a new Attacker, bringing recon-focused utility and a brand-new secondary weapon to Siege: the TACIT .45, a semi-automatic pistol with an integrated suppressor built for quiet entries and precision picks. Ubisoft says Snake is designed around stealth, agility, and information gathering, giving attacking teams new ways to control space before committing to a site.
Alongside the operator launch, Season 1 will feature a limited-time 4v4 infiltration event where Snake teams up with Zero to recover stolen data. Players can unlock crossover cosmetics, including Jackal as Gray Fox and Ash as Meryl.
Longtime Snake voice actor David Hayter also provides in-game cues for the character.
Ubisoft is also adding a special Dual Front mission titled “Last Assignment” as a nod to Metal Gear fans. Notably, this will be Dual Front’s final season before the mode is removed entirely.
New 1v1 Mode, Map Updates, and Ranked Changes
For two weeks in Season 1, Siege will introduce a 1v1 duel mode in the Arcade playlist. Short, high-intensity rounds will focus purely on gun skill and movement, stripping the game down to its mechanical fundamentals.
Three maps — Oregon, Coastline, and Villa — are also getting visual upgrades and additional destruction tweaks.
Season 1 also marks the start of a new seasonal cadence, with four balancing updates per season and two Ranked map rotations. Ubisoft says the early Year 11 meta will lean into Entry and Roaming roles following changes to Skopos, Alibi, and Ela.
R6 ShieldGuard Anti-Cheat & Competitive Overhaul
Beyond content, Year 11 will emphasize competitive integrity. On PC, Ubisoft is rolling out R6 ShieldGuard Secure Platform, a secure boot integration designed to strengthen anti-cheat protections at a deeper system level.
Season 3 will introduce a new high-skill solo-queue playlist called Legend Division, aimed at the top end of Ranked. A new long-term progression system, Operator Mastery, will also allow players to level each operator individually over time.
Season 2 will bring a Dokkaebi remaster, reshaping her into a more aggressive intel-denial Attacker with a new weapon, alongside a brand-new Ranked-ready map called Calypso Casino — a modern take inspired by Rainbow Six’s Vegas era.
Season 3 will add a new Defender built to counter shield-heavy play, plus a limited-time 3v3 Arcade mode.
Season 4 will introduce a Social Hub for cross-platform squad management and rework Hostage to better align with competitive play.
Rainbow Six Mobile Launch Date Confirmed
Outside of the Year 11 roadmap, Ubisoft confirmed that Rainbow Six Mobile launches globally on February 23 across iOS and Android.
The mobile version will feature 5v5 matches on maps including Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon, and Villa, alongside Bomb, Ranked, Team Deathmatch, and Quick Play modes.
With over 100 million registered players across its lifetime, Siege is entering its eleventh year with a clear message: refine the core, tighten competitive systems, and continue delivering seasonal shakeups without drifting from its tactical foundation.
