The top dogs in Swiss Stage

There are several teams in the RLCS 2021-22 Fall Split Major that are synonymous with winning. G2 Esports, Team Dignitas, The General NRG, and Team Vitality were former champions of the RLCS seasons. Yet, The General NRG still stood out as the “daddy” amongst these titleholders.

Sure, the veteran team’s last accomplishment dates back to 2019, when they became champions of the RLCS Season 8 Finals. Yet, it became absolute that The General NRG are at their prime form heading into the Swiss Stage. The team collectively secured the highest total points from the Fall NA Regional Events, beating G2 by a huge margin.

Season 9 Finals didn’t happen due to the COVID19 pandemic, but regional champions, Team Dignitas and G2 Esports stomped the Europe and North America tournaments respectively. At the Fall EU Regional Events, Team Dignitas secured first runner-up spot, just 11 points behind Endpoint CeX. Sure, second-place in the Regional Events leave a bad taste in these former champions’ mouths, but they are still best in class when it comes to consistency.

We can’t say the same for Team Vitality, who narrowly qualified for the Swiss Stage. Nonetheless, expect this French squad to reveal what they have under their sleeves heading into the RLCS 2021-22 Fall Split Major.

Regional Favorites and Endpoint CeX’s first LAN debut

Besides the notable powerhouses in RLCS 2021-22 Fall Split Major, Endpoint CeX struck out as an odds-defying EU superstar. The latest addition to the team, Enzo “Seikoo” Grondein brought a fresh playstyle to the team, which might be the success factor for Endpoint. Known for his goal-hungry playstyle, Seikoo is not one to shy away from pulling off shots at every opportunity.

Historically, Seikoo has always been a wunderkind in the Ranked Rocket League scene, winning many amateur events throughout his career. Hence, Endpoint CeX should count their lucky stars for scouting the young prodigy. Couple this overflowing talent with a seasoned captain, Lucas “RelatingWave” Rose’s leadership. Fans go as far as to claim that the major will be Endpoint CeX’s first grand finals and even championship title.

Two long years since the RLCS Season 8 Finals LAN event, fans are eager to witness other regions’ opponents go up against the familiar faces of EU and NA. Teams that come to mind are Ground Zero Gaming from Oceania and FURIA Esports from South America. Mainstays in countless regional tournaments, they are also top seeds in past RLCS Seasons for Oceania and SA.

For instance, FURIA snatched first place in the regional events twice but had a sloppy upset during one event. No thanks to team Novus Aevi forcing a four-round overtime. Eventually, FURIA received the shorter end of the stick and flopped out at eighth place.

Although the RLCS 2021-22 welcomed many new regions to the scene, there’s an evident power gap between the familiar faces and newcomers. Rocket League is often a play-based game, where pro players polished their edge in pulling off the best goal shots in Rocket League history.

The most exciting matches for Rocket League betting are presumably ones that involve the trios, NRG, G2, and Dignitas. But the popularity poll is not limited to the mentioned champs only, but also FaZe Clan, Team BDS, Team Vitality, Endpoint CeX, and Team Envy. Rocket League Fantasy will be fun to play at this major for sure.
