The Rocket League Championship Series 2024 is the thirteenth season of the prestigious Rocket League esports tournament. The tournament took place in Fort Worth, United States, at the Dickies Arena. The season included three in-person tournaments: RLCS Major 1, RLCS Major 2, and the Rocket League World Championship. And here is what we got from it!

RLCS London Major day 1 scores

Day 1 saw the best Rocket League players in the world face off to earn their place in the playoffs. Everyone loves and underdog but there weren’t any massive turn ups here. NA representatives G2 Stride came out on top of the day with a 6-0 score line after 2 series. Previous RLCS Copenhagen Major winners Gentle Mates Alpine are also in good standing. There were

plenty of series that went to the full 5 games and plenty that looked more than a little stompy.

Here are all the scores from day 1:

Rocket League tracker – RLCS Day 2

By the end of day 2, 8 teams finally earned their places in the playoffs. The rest will, unfortunately, not get to play in front of the live audience at the Copper Box Arena. It was a heartbreaking end for teams including OG Esports and Oxygen Esports. Hopefully they’ll be back stronger at the next event.

It would be extremely impressive for any team to have a perfect record at this point and in fact, none of them do anymore. Things were looking good for G2 Stride until they fell apart in the series against Team Falcons, falling 3-0. We really don’t think they’ll have much trouble qualifying nonetheless but it’s a big feather in the Falcons’ cap.

Our scores for day 2 finished as:

G2 Stride vs. Team Falcons0-3
Team Vitality vs. FURIA3-1
Gen.G Mobil1 Racing vs. Oxygen Esports3-1
PWR vs. Spacestation Gaming1-3
Gentle Mates Alpine vs. Team Secret3-0
BDS vs. OG Esports3-0
Chiefs Esports Club vs. Gaimin Gladiators0-3
Twisted Minds vs. Team Mobula3-1
G2 Stride vs. Gen.G Mobil1 Racing 3-2
FURIA vs. Spacestation Gaming1-3
BDS vs. Gentle Mates Alpine1-3
Team Secret vs. OG Esports3-2
PWR vs. Gaimin Gladiators3-1
Oxygen Esports vs. Twisted Minds3-1
Oxygen Esports vs. FURIA2-3

The RLCS Major 2 crowd in London will enter the arena on June 22nd.

Day 3 – Playoffs time!

We have our final 8 teams! With just 4 series to play, things are really hotting up. First up is SSG vs. G2 Stride. It’s no secret that G2 are here to win. They fell just shy of the top position at Major 1, a mistake they won’t be looking to repeat any time soon.

Spacestation Gaming vs. G2 Stride1-4
Team Vitality vs FURIA1-4
Team Falcons vs. Gen.G Mobil1 Racing1-4
Gentle Mates Alpine vs. BDS4-0

The M8 vs. BDS series was one of the most dominant performances of the entire tournament. Juicy scored some of the best Rocket League goals and truly proved why they are Major champions. The former world champions, BDS, were sent home by their fellow French opponents in spectacular style.

But not to be outshone, FURIA got their revenge of Team Vitality by eliminating them in a pretty wild series. Vitality tried their best but a 5-0 scoreline for FURIA in game 3 really can’t be argued with.

Day 4 – Championship Sunday

The final four teams are ready to take to the stage. We still have 2 semi finals series before the Grand Finals is due to take place at 20:30 BST tonight.

Team Falcons vs. M8 Alpine4-3
FURIA vs. G2 Stride2-4

I, for one, am kind of hoping we won’t have a repeat of the G2 Stride vs M8 Alpine finals from Major 1. But it’s very possible, and even likely. It’d take a hell of a series for Falcons and FURIA to make it all the way. Let’s see if they can do it.

Grand Finals – G2 Stride are victorious

In the end, it was really no surprise that G2 Stride won RLCS London 2024. They were extremely dominant in the grand finals that went to only 5 games, despite losing 3-0 to Team Falcons in the Swiss Stage.

Now they’ve made history as the first truly NA roster to win a Rocket League Major and the first to win a Major in the EU since 2019. And well deserved too!
