Diablo 4 Server Status: How to Check if Diablo 4 Servers Are Down?

Diablo’s main series has had its 4th iteration live for quite a while now. Unfortunately as an online game you’ll be subject to the Diablo 4 server status. Diablo has come under fire previously for being an online only game even when grinding single player game content. As a result, even the quickest of dungeon runs will need you to maintain a steady connection with Blizzard’s back end, which led some players to wonder is Diablo worth it.

How can I tell if its me or the server?

As with most Blizzard games like Diablo 4, you’ll be launching them via Battle.net on your PC. From there you’ll be able to update and also validate the contents of your game. Sometimes though, an update for a game won’t show, because Battle.net itself needs an update, which has to be completed first. After that, your update can happen after so that you can be on the correct patch. For parity, Diablo 4 won’t connect if you don’t have the same version as the server.

If you’re up to date, then its worth checking the Blizzard news tab for recent updates. Planned server outages for maintenance or updates will be communicated in app. And if you boot Diablo 4, they’ll also have a message on the home screen. For unplanned outages, its a bit more difficult, but you won’t be alone in searching, since all players of the Diablo 4 player count will have the same difficulties.

Just like with in game, you can get official server outage updates from the Diablo Twitter/X. They will also update on unexpected outages if they last for long enough periods. Another way to check and see if its specifically Diablo 4 or Blizzard as a whole is to check other titles.
