Fallout 76 Cheats and Tricks – Full List and Guide
Fallout 76 was released in 2018, and it quickly became one of the worst-rated games in the history of the post-apocalyptic franchise. It was a complete diversion from the series’ existing model, with Bethesda Game Studios pivoting to a live-service, MMORPG platform rather than offering a single-player adventure. However, the game improved in the years that followed, and today, we’re helping out the players still on the platform, teaching them all about Fallout 76 cheats, codes, and tricks.
With this guide in hand, every player in the game will have the ability to learn everything they could need to know about Fallout 76 cheat codes. From the mods available in the game to the glitches that have been discovered by players, and from the tricks that gamers can use to get an edge, we’ve covered the entire end-to-end ecosystem of Fallout 76 cheats.
Read on to find out what you can do to manipulate the Fallout 76 platform.
Is Fallout 76 Good Now?
Before we break into our rundown of Fallout 76 cheats, let’s address the elephant in the room. For years, players both new and experienced in the world of Fallout have been wondering if Fallout 76 is considered a good game. As time goes on, the Fallout 76 roadmap becomes more expansive, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the game has been refined, it just means that more content is being delivered by Bethesda Game Studios.
Fortunately, since it launched in 2018, Fallout 76 has improved immeasurably. It has gone from being a barren, empty wasteland full of fetch quests to a relatively living, breathing world, populated by NPCs and stuff full of content. For a while, Bethesda has been providing regular updates that have fleshed out the world of Appalachia in Fallout 76, but it’s still considered a failed Fallout title by die-hard members of the community.
There are a few things that still serve as drawbacks to the game having the ability to truly succeed, though. For one thing, those updates aren’t as good as they could be, and there are still some major changes that need to take place for Fallout 76 to be thought of as a ‘good game’. For instance, one thing that potential players find themselves asking time and again is, ‘is Fallout 76 cross-platform‘, but to this day, there’s no sign that it ever will be.
It’s a limitation of the multiplayer platform, but it’ll likely never be addressed by Bethesda. However, with that in mind, Fallout 76 is still quite a good game in its own right, even if it is yet to be perfected.
Are There Fallout 76 Cheats?

Unfortunately for some, there are no Fallout 76 cheat codes. This is because Fallout 76 is an online-only game, and any cheats would only serve to disrupt the ecosystem immeasurably, impacting the experience of other players. There are hacks that can be found that some players use in a malicious manner to get an advantage in the game, but they’re bannable and immoral, and they go against the standard practices of fair gaming.
For instance, over the years, players have used Fallout 76 cheats and hacks to gain invulnerability, high speed, and free items, and to boost the level of their character as they see fit. There’s nothing inherently good about hacks in games, and they do nothing but spoil the fun for legitimate players. So, while Fallout 76 hacks exist, we would wholeheartedly recommend that you never attempt to obtain them. It’s also worth stressing that, traditionally, these hacks will only be available for PC platforms.
There are no Fallout 76 cheat codes, but that doesn’t mean that the ability to alter the game ends there.

Does Fallout 76 Have Mods?
As one of the most popular single-player games in history, Fallout 4 (76’s predecessor) is well known for the tens of thousands of mods that exist on the platform. Like Fallout 76, there are no Fallout 4 cheats, but the mod quantity is off the charts. Sadly, while Fallout 76 does have mods, none of them are game-changing – which, again, is a limitation of the multiplayer-focused platform.
If you use a service like nexusmods.com, you can find plenty of Fallout 76 mods – almost two thousand, in fact. However, almost all of these mods will only make changes on your side of the game, and they won’t reflect any changes on the server for other players. Here are some examples of the mods that stand in place of any real Fallout 76 cheats:
- Better Inventory (modify your inventory menu)
- Improved Health Bars (change how your health bar looks to make it easier to understand)
- Recipes and Plans Glow (make these items glow green for better visibility)
- Lockpick Bar 76 (make lockpicking easier with an on-screen guide)
- Text Chat (add a text chat feature to the game)
- Optimum ReShade (change the colour palette in the game to look more apocalyptic)
How Else Can Fallout 76 Be Manipulated?

There is a series of glitches and exploits that come and go in Fallout 76, with every glitch that surfaces typically being somewhat temporary. They’re very likely to be patched out by Bethesda Game Studios over time, but it seems that some of them eventually pop back up again.
For instance, there are item duping exploits that commonly arise in the game, as well as glitches that can be exploited to fill a low-capacity, powerful weapon with a high ammo capacity. However, these glitches are, for the most part, totally unreliable, and owing to their dubious nature, we’ll not share details of how to accomplish them here.
So, Should You Try to Alter Fallout 76?
Ultimately, as Fallout 76 is a live-service, always-online game, it’s unwise to try altering your experience in any way. Even the most basic mods could be detected by Bethesda Game Studios, and you could pick up a permanent ban for your efforts. There are no Fallout 76 cheats, but if there were, we’d massively advise you to steer clear of them.
While there’s nothing wrong with cheating in a single-player game, cheating in an online game will earn you nothing but hate and potentially an irreversible ban.
