Rainbow Six Siege Raleigh Major

After Rainbow Six Siege returned from the fold, its competitive scene has continued to grow. Back in May, Ubisoft announced the Rainbow Six Siege Raleigh Major 2019. At that time, not much was known about this event, only that it will be held in August. However, the organizers have now revealed all the important details about this upcoming event.

Venue and dates

According to Ubisoft’s official blog post, the upcoming Rainbow Six tournament will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina USA, at the Raleigh Convention Center. The Group Stage will take place from August 12th till 14th, while the finals will be held from August 16th till 18th. For those who don’t know, this will the first time the Major is being held in the US.

Participating teams

As for teams, Ubisoft has confirmed that a total of 16 teams are going to participate in this tournament. They include G2 Sports, DarkZero, Team Empire, Looking for Org, FaZe Clan, Immortals, Fnatic, Nora-Rengo, Team Secret, Spacestation Gaming, Rouge, TSM, Team forZe, Team NiP, and Cyclops Athlete. The last four teams secured a spot in the event through the qualifiers round that was held in June.

Prize pool and ticket details

All 16 teams are going to compete for a prize pool of $500,000:

  • The first-place winner will receive $200,000
  • The second place will get $80,000
  • The third, as well as the fourth place, will receive $40,000.

The rest of the prize money will be divided as:

  • 5th – 8th place $20,000
  • 9th – 12th place $10,000
  • 13th – 16th place $5,000.

If you’re interested in attending the event, there are three attendee levels. The first one is VIP, which has been sold out. The second one is General Admission, which will cost you $65 and it comes with some benefits such as access to the main stage venue/arena. Finally, we have the Open Admission, which is free for everyone. So, if you don’t want any extra benefits, you can go ahead and attend the event for free.
