Skyesports Masters 2024 – Teams & Format

The Skyesports Masters 2024 is here! From April 8th to 14th, eight of the best CS2 teams around the world will compete in an online tournament, looking for their share of a mammoth $350,000 prize pool.

Based in Chennai, India, Skyesports has established itself as one of the biggest esports companies in South Asia. This year’s Masters CS tournament represents a huge step forward for the company, with a notable step up in competition this time around. Now, more teams from the competitive European region are taking part in what should be a banger of a tournament.

Skyesports Masters 2024 format & teams

The Skyesports Masters 2024 follows a pretty simple format:

  • Playoffs:
    • Double-Elimination bracket
    • All matches (excl. Grand Final) are best-of-three
    • The Grand Final is best-of-five

Notably, the best-of-five final means we get to see even more action on the server, and a complete lack of best-of-one matches is a welcome addition, too!

Skyesports Masters 2024 predictions

Online Counter-Strike is always difficult to predict. A lineup of teams as strong as this doesn’t help matters, either. In terms of favorites, we’re looking at ENCE and BIG here. On paper, they’ve got the strongest rosters, by far. ENCE had a disappointing PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 run, but if they can bounce back fast, they’ve got a real chance at a tournament win. As for BIG, we’ve not seen enough of the syrsoN and JDC version of the team yet. This could be a great way to announce themselves.

For our surprise packages, we’re going with OG and Gods Reign. OG have a talented young squad, and when HeavyGod is firing on all cylinders, they can do damage to anyone. Gods Reign are an interesting prospect. As the only Indian team among a bunch of European rosters, it would be easy to write them off. But they’re coming up against an incomplete NIP team still learning to play together, so we think Gods Reign have a real chance. We’d love to see them get a few wins on the board, proving they can rumble with teams from more competitive CS regions.
