The inaugural season of the HERO ESPORTS VALORANT Asian Champions League is slated to take place in Shanghai, China, in 2025. The tournament will occur from May 14-18 at the VCT CN Arena. With a prize pool of $160,000, it is one of the biggest in VALORANT Esports history. Teams from the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific League and VCT CN League will participate in this tournament. Currently, there is no official news on where the tournament’s broadcast will be. It has been speculated that fans can watch the tournament on the Chinese streaming platform Weibo. However, there is a high chance the live broadcast will only be available in Chinese. The tournament could also be available on platforms like Bili Bili and TikTok.

HERO ESPORTS VALORANT Asian Champions League 2025 Tournament Format

Hero Esports invited all six teams to participate in this tournament. Regarding the VCT CN teams, the top 3 teams from the recently concluded VCT CN Stage One event were invited to this tournament. The teams are seeded into three groups based on their placements during VCT Pacific Stage One and VCT CN Stage One.

Teams that finish in the highest spot from either league receive a bye to the Grand Final Seed Decider. Teams that finish second receive a bye to the Quarterfinals Seed Decider. Each of these decider matches is a best-of-three series.

The tournament only consists of one phase, known as the knockout phase. This will take place from May 14 until May 18, and the grand finals will be hosted at the Jing’an Sports Center in Shanghai, China.

During the knockout phase, three matches will take place first. The teams in 3rd place will face off first during round 1. The team that wins will qualify for round two, while the other gets eliminated.

Following this, the Quarterfinals Seed Decider will take place. The winner of this match will qualify for the Quarterfinals, while the loser will advance to round 2. The next match will be the Grand Final Seed Decider.

The winner of this match will directly qualify for the grand finals. The loser of this match will qualify for the semifinals and face off against the quarterfinal winner.

The Grand finals will be a best-of-five series, while the remaining matches at the event will be a best of 3. For each win, a team will be awarded a bounty of $10,000.

If a lower-seeded team defeats a higher-seeded team, it receives an additional $10,000 bounty. The Champion of the HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League 2025 will receive $50,000 + their total match bounty.
