VCT Ascension EMEA will have two major phases. The first stage is the Play-Ins phase, similar to a last-chance qualifier for teams to secure the final spot during EMEA Ascension. It will feature all second-placed teams across the nine Challengers Leagues within the EMEA region. This phase will take place from July 28 to 31.

There will be three groups with three teams each. Each group will have a single round-robin format. The team that finishes first in its respective group will qualify for the playoff stage. The teams that finish second in each group will proceed to the last-chance qualifier group.

This group will be a round-robin tournament, with the team on top qualifying for the playoffs stage. The playoffs will consist of a single-bracket elimination format. The team that finishes first will secure the final spot for the main event of VCT Ascension EMEA. Each match will be a best-of-3, with the grand finals being a best-of-5.

The second stage of VCT Ascension EMEA is the main event, which will be the all-important part. The main event will consist of two stages: the group stage and the playoffs. There will be two groups, each consisting of five teams. Each team will play in a round-robin format. Unlike last year, each match within the group stage will be a best-of-three rather than a best-of-one. The group stages will be taking place from Aug. 31 to Sept. 4. Below is a graphic for the schedule for the tournament’s group stages.

The second stage of the tournament will be the playoff stage. The top 2 teams in each group will then advance into a double-elimination bracket. These games will also be BO3, except the Lower Final and Grand Final, which will be best-of-5 (BO5). It must be stated that, unlike VCT Pacific Ascension, only the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final will be hosted in a Lan stage at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin on Sept. 14 and 15.
