MultiVersus is about to blow back onto our screens. With just days to go now, Player First Games have stepped up the teases, revealing they’ve been busy. We’re getting two new characters, a Jason MultiVersus character and Agent Smith from the Matrix. These two new additions are wild expansions to the roster. Both tonally and in terms of how they’ll fight, they’re pretty different from what we’ve seen before.

MultiVersus is about to return, now out of early access and releasing in full. Over the last few months, we’ve seen quite a bit about what’s changed. That starts with the new MultiVersus rollback, but more recently they’ve even started detailing new characters. The latest trailer for the new game has even shown off Agent Smith in MultiVersus and Jason too.

Between the two new characters and the new MultiVersus game modes, there’s a lot to explore. What do we know about the two latest characters to come to MultiVersus?

Jason MultiVersus Character Coming

One of the most exciting parts of the latest trailer for MultiVersus was Jason! The character wasn’t exactly expected. We already have tons of animated characters in the game and some reps from more mature franchises like Game of Thrones. However, Jason is definitely on the gorier side of those included.

The serial killer from Friday the 13th is going to be one of the fresh MultiVersus characters we’re getting in Season 1. They look a bit cartoony to match the MultiVersus aesthetic, but their unique fighting style will translate into a really interesting fighter.

Agent Smith Coming to MultiVersus

The second of the new MultiVersus characters is Agent Smith. This is a fighter pretty well known from their source material, the Matrix. They’re the villain, known for their reality-bending abilities. It’s not quite Keanu Reeves’ Neo but it’s maybe the most unique rep they could choose from the franchise.

Agent Smith in MultiVersus isn’t the most excitingly designed character, thanks to his plain sense of style. In terms of moves, they could be crazy though. The kind of moves associated with the character will slot perfectly into a platform fighter for mobility or evasion. Their guns could give us a more zoning-focused character too.

There are tons of leaked MultiVersus characters we’re also expecting to show up in the game soon on top of these two! Between Jason in MultiVersus and Agent Smith, the roster is getting much bigger though. These two secret releases for MultiVersus Season 1 have definitely whetted our appetites for the game returning though.
