MultiVersus is a huge title, which has a core conceit of bringing in characters from across the Multiverse. It’s in the name. So, who are all of the MultiVersus characters in the core cast? It’s only gotten bigger, with some crazy additions being added since the game returned.

Looking across the cast, MultiVersus is really starting to live up to its name. This roster could end up similarly sized to Smash Bros Ultimate, if given enough years. You don’t get every character off the bat in MultiVersus though. You’ll have to purchase and unlock them gradually. MultiVersus has amassed a serious number of characters across its beta and those added with its comeback. These are all of the MultiVersus fighters that have been added so far, and their “role” in-game:

That’s all of them so far! New characters are going to be added pretty regularly though. We’ve seen a good number of leaked MultiVersus characters too. There are some really interesting characters still in the works for this title.

How Many Characters Are in the Game?

There are 26 MultiVersus characters available currently! That’s at the re-launch of the title. They’ll be more added over time as the game grows.

Which Franchise Has the Most Fighters in MultiVersus?

Looking at MultiVersus characters, there are quite a few franchises that stand out as heavier represented. It doesn’t mean they’re the best characters at the top of the MultiVersus tier list. However, these franchises do get more reps. These are the stables with the most fighters:

Adventure Time – 3
Looney Tunes – 3
DC – 6
Gremlins – 2
Rick and Morty – 2
Scooby Doo – 2
Steven Universe – 2

As you can see, MultiVersus definitely favors DC at the moment! Although, Batman characters are a decent chunk of that so we could even divide it up further. Beyond that, Looney Tunes are pretty sizeable too, as is Adventure Time thanks to the strange inclusion of a Banana Guard. Some franchises may end with even more reps as we see MultiVersus updates now the game has returned.
