Everything We Learnt from the Street Fighter 6 Showcase
The Street Fighter 6 showcase has just been unveiled, giving us loads of new information about everything that’s coming with the latest instalment in the franchise. If you’re interested in what’s coming with the newest and biggest release in this huge fighting game franchise, then this is what was announced.
Everything in the Street Fighter 6 Showcase
World Tour and Other Solo Content
World Tour is the new single-player story mode coming from Street Fighter 6! This is a new type of experience for the series. You can create your own custom character, then travel around the world finding and fighting all of the Street Fighter 6 characters.

As you find each new character, you’ll learn their fighting style and special moves. Eventually, you’ll unlock brand-new cutscenes in the game and cool content around the characters. This solo experience was a big part of the Street Fighter 6 showcase. You can fight everything, even fridges.
This part of the game is built to incorporate certain RPG elements. There are consumable items, stats, and skill points to manage if you want to improve your character. There’s a skill tree exclusive to this mode along with unique mechanics like pressure time.
A classic Arcade Mode was shown off too. That included new online leaderbaords to push you to be the best.

Avatar Battles and Clubs
If you spend hours in a character creator, you want to be able to use it as widely as possible! World Tour wasn’t the only mode in the Street Fighter 6 showcase that uses the avatars. There is also the Battle Hub. You can bring your avatar here and use avatar battles to fight the creations of other characters.
You’re going to be able to mix and match moves that your avatar uses. You might have a Ryu Street Fighter special leading directly into something from Zangief. These are going to end up as hard-to-predict battles.

Other areas where you can interact with your fellow players include Clubs. Here you can create clans with custom emblems and even uniforms.
Fighting Ground Shown off in Street Fighter 6 Showcase
One cool new feature in the Street Fighter 6 Showcase was Fighting Ground. This is an area that is going to push quality forward in fighting games. As players fight, they’ll take physical damage. You’ll see cuts, bruises, even sweat as you work harder. For the first time, your character will dynamically display the consequences of your fight! This is an exciting feature. It’s already crazy to imagine what iconic fighting game esports battles like EVO Moment 37 would look like with the characters actually showing their damage.
This can be turned off in the settings of the game. There’s also extra accessibility announced in the Street Fighter 6 Showcase. You’ll see options to add more indicators to make the game more accessible.

Learning Street Fighter 6
The Street Fighter 6 Showcase might be showing things off for established fans, but there are going to be loads of ways new players can get involved too. Tutorials and character guides will give you a basic grounding in each character in the game. There’s also still the new SF 6 control type, which actually helps button mashers with the game-assisted interpretation of your input.
Online Modes
New Online modes have been included in Street Fighter 6 Showcase. There are exclusive rooms you can make which allow for more organized fighting. Then there’s a much more in-depth Street Fighter 6 ranked mode. It’s here where you can prove you’re the best of the best.

Street Fighter 6 Showcase Original Announcement
While release isn’t far off, first there’s a showcase showing some new features for the game.
This latest showcase is just weeks away from the Street Fighter 6 release date. It looks like Capcom’s pulling out all the stops to tease the game ahead of its release. That’s starting with this Showcase featuring Lil Wayne, for some reason.

Last week, Capcom announced their next plans to reveal content for SF6. This was a major update on what’s coming in the game. We can expect to learn more than in the character reveals we’ve seen more recently.
The trailer for the event showed some new content already, like a new costume unveiled for Kimberly. That’s along with some easter eggs, with some fans even thinking they spotted a more minor character from Final Fight II mixed in.
The showcase all took place on the 20th of April. This was likely the last major reveals before the game finally releases. Now we’ve got the demo to keep busy until release.
