One of the most interesting new features in this Chapter is the Earth Sprite in Fortnite. A different kind of sprite. The map is currently crawling with these cute little guys, but the Earth Sprite is both the rarest and the most useful. He offers one of the best services in the game, but tracking him down can actually be a bit of a struggle.
The Earth Sprite Fortnite added this season isn’t like the others. There’s currently a wind sprite and water sprite. These both roam the map, usually near the shrines where they’re redeemed. However, these are small and easy to carry. The Earth Sprite is kind of something else entirely, with a much better prize. To suit that though, it’s a lot harder to actually access. Players could go through the early half of the game and not run into them at all in Fortnite Chapter 6. Although, they’ve just gotten much easier to find.
Although, Epic has massively expanded the spawn rate for this little creature and made it simple to get too. It can now spawn quite a bit more. What exactly is the Earth Sprite in Fortnite and how can you track it down?

The Earth Sprite in Fortnite is supposed to be another variation of these fun little guys. However, they aren’t quite that simple in practice. They’re much larger and don’t roam around the map, at least in a single game. These are more like the NPCs in Fortnite than the other sprites.
The Earth sprite is a large grounded character, who you can talk to like an NPC. However, they are static where they spawn in each game. They won’t be in the same place every time. However, if you spot one it’s definitely worth tracking them down. Now they’re on the map, they’re easier to get to regularly too.
Once you do, you can talk to them to access a service for trading items. You’ll need to select an item in your inventory and hand it over.
Then, the Earth sprite eats it.

However, within 30 seconds he’ll spit out something better. It’s a random upgrade service. You don’t get the same weapon back, but something random instead. This can mean it’s a good deal, or a bit annoying, it just depends on how the RNG hits for you. It could be a major part of winning Fortnite Chapter 6 games though.
The big question with the Earth sprite is where is it? Players likely have run into it once, only to not see it in that spot again. Just like the other sprites it has a variable spawn place. Players can’t rely on it always being in the same spot. Although, it’s now spawning quite in quite a few of these at once.

With the latest Fortnite update, Epic has made a big change to the Earth Sprite location! It’s no longer random guesswork. Instead, players can basically just go and find it now. It’s shown on the map.
Now, when you jump into a Fortnite game you’ll see multiple icons on the map. Quite a few are the bosses that drop Fortnite Chapter 6 Mythics. However, a different icon on the map will instead be the Earth Sprite. Its spawns are still the same. However, Epic’s made the decision to make the sprite simple to find, you just have to see the map now.
This means everyone will be able to track down the little creature if they want to. Although, it does make high-level loot even easier to get in each game. Loot inflation once again seems to be a very real thing in Fortnite.
If you’re still trying to finish off some of the Fortnite Weekly quests, the Earth Sprite is now very easy to find.

The Earth Sprite has just had a major improvement. it now spawns five times in each game. meaning it can be found in five different locations. previously, this was more of a random treat than something you can plan around. However, now we’re up to five it should get a it easier.
Keep these spawn points in mind. While it’s now in five of them each game, there’s still a lot. if you’re banking on finding one it’ll be a bit easier. But you still can’t bank on any individual spot. You could start planning your Fortnite landing spot around the more dense spawn areas though, and hoping you stumble on it.
