Godzilla Spawn Rate Boosted to 100% for Weekend

The latest changes to Fortnite have been one of the biggest new features added this season, Godzilla is now here on the map in Battle Royale. But when does Godzilla spawn in Fortnite? The monster might be in the game properly now, but you won’t run into him every time. You’ll need to learn how the spawn rate works for Godzilla in Fortnite first.

Godzilla is here as a Battle Pass skin, which you can unlock gradually. However, the in-game version of him is a bit more fun. This is a creative new boss fight in-game. It’s going to be a boss that players can transform into themselves, then menace the entire map for the end game of Battle Royale. However, the Godzilla transformation is based on RNG, you won’t get it every game, outside of a current change for the weekend. When does Godzilla spawn in Fortnite and how can you get lucky and land the right game?

Godzilla Spawn Rate 100% This Weekend

Epic has made a major change to the Godzilla transformation this weekend! They’ve upped the spawn rate. Not from 20% to 30, or even 40. But the Godzilla transformation has become a 100% spawn rate. It’ll now be active in every game.

If you’re jumping in over the weekend, you’ll find Godzilla is active in every game. If you haven’t managed to become Godzilla yet, then this might be the time to have your turn! Since the transformation is pretty underpowered and taking him out offers the best reward, a lot of players are skipping him. If you want the experience of stomping out buildings before the Fortnite season ends, then now is the time to get involved! The Godzilla spawn rate will probably be cut down once we’re back in the normal season.

If you do want to make use of the portal over the 100% spawn rate period, you’ll need to head to the portal in-time. It can be tricky to pin down, so we’ve got a map of Godzilla Spawn points for the season. He’ll be in one of these in every game.

When Does Godzilla Normally Spawn in Fortnite?

In Fortnite, Godzilla is now active in Battle Royale but not every game, normally. If you’re in the right game, a new portal will appear on the map. You can go through it to become Godzilla. A giant creature able to destroy the map and annihilate players. Although, other players can stand up to you, especially if they join together and ignore their 1-v-1 fights to do so.

How often is Godzilla spawning in Fortnite at the moment? Epic hasn’t announced the spawn rate yet, but it normally seems to be between 10 and 20% of games. Of course at the moment that’s boosted to 100%, but that won’t be permanent.  This means that the majority won’t have Godzilla in it. Although, games where you’ve got the best loot and have a good shot at winning the Fortnite round might get derailed this way.

At the moment, Godzilla spawning constantly but it’ll be back to being rarer. However, we will likely see the spawn rate change as the season moves on. Last season had a similar transformation with Doctor Doom. However, the spawn rate for that was changed from week to week, with some weekends really boosting it so everyone got a chance to play, and others cutting it back to make it rare again. We’ll likely see the rate change around for Godzilla in Fortnite too.
