After being played mainly as a support in previous seasons, Riot decided to tweak Ashe to turn her back into the traditional ADC this season.
She offers great utility and the ability to dictate engages with her own ultimate, which is rare for most marksman champions. She also boasts a relatively simple kit, making her one of the best LoL beginner champions, perfect for newbies to play while offering great satisfaction once mastered.
That being said, Ashe’s power can be fully unleashed only with certain supports. Not all champions can empower her to the same degree, and it’s crucial to know which ones are strong with her.
If you’re not sure which champions you should be playing with Ashe, we have compiled a list of the best supports that yield the greatest results. By explaining their strength and weaknesses, you will know better how a specific duo functions.
Just like most traditional ADCs, Ashe works well with an enchanter like Lulu. Not only is the yordle one of the best champions in the support tier list, but she is generally a strong pick with the Freljord champion.
The two can offer long crowd control chains with their abilities and Lulu provides additional tools to stop incoming threats, giving enough room for Ashe to dish out her damage.

The bot lane is also quite powerful early on since both Lulu and Ashe can harass with their respective abilities. That being said, the combo starts to really shine later in the game when Ashe hits at least three items.

On top of that, it’s quite easy to chain the two champions’ ultimates, which easily decide teamfights and therefore, the outcome of games.
There are some downsides, however. First, the two champions are incredibly immobile and prone to ganks and dives, so mastering wave management and vision control is essential. Additionally, Seraphine doesn’t have a strong early game, which means the two will not have the upper hand or 2v2 trades most of the time.

If you’re not usually into enchanter supports due to your playstyle or they don’t fit the team composition, you can look into Braum as a great support pick with Ashe. The two share lots of synergies with each other’s kit, which can be extremely annoying to deal with for the opponents.
As long as one of the two applies a slow onto the enemy target, it’s likely they will find themselves stunned or knocked up. Later in the game, Ashe’s high DPS will make it super easy to proc Braum’s passive and stun the enemies.

If you’re not particularly proficient at Seraphine or Lulu, you might want to consider Milio as another alternative to play with Ashe.

Aside from providing heals and shields like most enchanters, Milio’s main advantage comes from his key ability, Cozy Campfire, which extends Ashe’s attack range. This is incredibly powerful in the late-game skirmishes since it gives Ashe more room to kite the enemy team and deal damage from a safer distance.

Thresh is one of the most versatile supports in the entire game and his recent rise in the meta has pushed him up the ranks.
Just like other champions on this list, Thresh comes with a series of different crowd controls which can be used to either engage or follow up Ashe’s own CC’s. Moreover, Thresh can always use his lantern to quickly reposition immobile ADCs, it can be a lifesaver in some situations. Ashe Best Support lists are not complete without a Thresh addition anyways.
Compared to other bot lane duos, however, this one is a little harder to play due to how mechanically intensive Thresh can be to play his combos to perfection.
