If you are struggling a lot when facing Yuumi in LoL, here are the best counters you should play to win more games against her this season.

As someone who loves highly mechanical champions, Yuumi is probably one of the few champions I would rarely play. Despite her user-friendly and what could be considered an “innocent” kit, she can be extremely annoying to deal with, especially with the right carries. How many times did it occur to you that she and one of her best pairings completely 2v8 the game? I’ve had too many. In this guide, we will be going over the best three Yuumi counters, so you know what to play when the situation occurs again.

Out of all the champions in the game, I would say Blitzcrank is the best shot you have at winning games against Yuumi. You’re basically getting a “hook one, get one free” every time your Q lands. As long as you can shut down the first target, Yuumi will likely die alongside her or him.
Thanks to recent buffs, Leona has been showing consistently in the bottom lane, making her a top pick in the support tier list. She can easily force engages onto the enemy with her kit, and just like Blitzcrank, shut down the other target first and get Yuumi right after.

If you’re not that good at Blitzcrank, we recommend Nautilus as a great alternative. The champion has more crowd control and he has a point-and-click stun with the ultimate. As long as the team follows up with the damage, beating Yuumi is a just like eating a piece of cake.
Even though Morgana can counter Yuumi’s damage with her spell shield, Yuumi’s Q can easily break the shield if she maxes it out. Once you get past the mid game, Morgana’s value will drop heavily compared to Yuumi who will provide shields and heals to her entire team.
While Xerath has good range to poke, Yuumi has enough tools to help his ally survive the laning phase. Later in the game, the poke won’t be enough to take down the carry with the cat attached.
