How Many Characters Will There Be In 2XKO?
There are nine confirmed characters in 2XKO at the time of the closed beta. The roster already includes some of Riot’s biggest icons—take Jinx, for example, who has not only starred in LoL but also Fortnite, Netflix’s hit animated series Arcane, and now 2XKO.
Riot has made it clear that this is just the beginning. Executive producer Tom Cannon has stated that the team is aiming for a roster of around 24 characters in the near future. For now, though, here’s every 2XKO fighter you can get your hands on.

Ahri
Ahri has long been among the most played League of Legends champions, and we doubt that’ll change in 2XKO. Unlike her relatively simple kit in LoL, though, Ahri has a much higher mechanical ceiling in Riot’s latest 2v2 brawler.
With powerful gap closers that let her bypass ranged pressure and her exceptional synergy as a duo assister, Ahri is poised to be one of the strongest assisters on the 2XKO character roster.

Blitzcrank
Blitzcrank is definitely one of the more frustrating characters to go up against in 2XKO. Like most grapplers, his entire game plan involves dragging opponents in and forcing them into close-quarters combat—and his Grappling Hook is no different.
Blitz’s hook pulls enemies into the fight even if they don’t want to. 2XKO champions like Jinx, who rely heavily on their ranged abilities, are completely countered by Blitzcrank. What he may lack in damage, Blitz certainly makes up for in triggering his opponents!
Braum
Every fighting game needs a solid entry-level character, and Braum perfectly fits that role. While his abilities are somewhat basic in 2XKO, they work to his advantage, offering reliable defensive utility like his army of poros to protect allies and freeze enemies in their tracks.
Built around the primary objective to protect himself and allies, Braum’s shield also lets him soak up heavy damage before turning it into counter combos. That said, Braum performs much better in a duo rather than as a solo pick.
Darius
Darius is another highly popular entry-level character, but unlike Braum, he brings plenty of raw power. In addition to packing quite a punch, his combos are relatively easy to execute, making him a great 2XKO character to pick if you’re still learning the game.
On top of that, Darius’ bleed effect carries over from League of Legends, adding extra damage to his attacks once it’s applied. In a duo, he’s a strong choice as the Point character, especially when paired with an assister like Braum or Ahri.

Illaoi
Illaoi isn’t in the best state right now in 2XKO, trailing behind some of the game’s primary damage dealers. She can dish out quick bursts and can hold her own, but the lack of gap closers leaves her at a disadvantage, especially against champs like Darius or Ekko.
Her biggest drawback at the moment is mobility. The Truth-Bearer of Nagakabouros has plenty of damage potential, but without the right tools to close distance or reposition, she struggles to put it to use.
Jinx
Jinx has always stolen the spotlight, no matter where she wants to cause mayhem. Despite being strong in zoning enemies and wreaking havoc from afar, she seems to have fallen behind the pack and isn’t among the better characters in 2XKO.
Her reliance on ranged attacks is a double-edged sword. While she’s effective against slower, less mobile champions like Illaoi, Jinx struggles badly against opponents with gap closers who can quickly shut her down.
Ekko
Ekko is one of those characters who feels very overpowered, but only for players who can truly master his kit. His current strength is reminiscent of his debut in LoL, where he was one of the most overpowered new champions that existed at the time.
His rewind abilities are especially lethal—just like in LoL, he can turn back the clock and deal extra damage that isn’t available to other 2XKO characters.

Vi
Unlike her sister, Vi stands out as one of the best brawlers in 2XKO—and she really lives up to that title. She has everything you would want in a fighter. Her movement is the cleanest of any character played thus far, with gap closers across the board.
On top of that, her relentless combos make her a constant threat by overwhelming opponents with a nonstop barrage of damage. While she lacks range, Vi more than compensates with devastating melee power.
Yasuo
Out of all the characters in 2XKO, Yasuo is by far the hardest to learn, making him particularly challenging for newcomers to master. His move set works differently from most, with several abilities tied to distinct stances rather than being performed while moving.
The payoff for mastering this complexity is massive, though. That’s because Yasuo boasts the highest combo damage output of any character in the game.
