ADC Tier List – Best champions for LoL Patch 25.08

ADCs is responsible for the majority of the damage output, yet the role’s importance has undergone several shifts over the past years. While the marksmen were considered the most OP roles in some seasons, there were other periods where they would be blown up by any champion jumping at them.

With the changes to the itemization this season, however, the role seems to be in a more balanced spot: ADCs are able to play their own game, and the less “snowbally” playstyle allows them to scale up and reach those item spikes to be relevant. Nonetheless, picking the right champions in the meta is essential to increase the chances of victory: here is our ADC tier list.

Z Tier - Karthus, Jinx, Lucian, Tristana

I think there are four champions at the top of the ADC tier list in this particular patch. One of them, however, is not a traditional marksman but often pops up as a great answer to hypercarries, Karthus.

The AP champion not only is a strong champion in the jungle tier list but he has been popping up quite often in the bottom lane as an APC due to his ability to pressure scaling ADCs early on in the laning phase while having strong late-game scalability himself. He can trade kills early on and it will be worth it because the additional gold will speed up his spike.

Other champions like Jinx, Lucian, and Tristana are strong for different reasons. Jinx is relatively easy to play and the best champion to carry late game teamfights. Lucian works better if you want to trade heavily early on, although he must be paired with specific supports to be effective. Tristana is working will with enchanter supports that make sure she can survive the laning phase and scale well later into the game with her high DPS.

S Tier - Draven, Jhin, Varus

Among the S-Tier champions, the best champion is Varus. This is because he can be played with different build paths depending on the team composition and he can also use his ultimate to initiate fights if necessary.

Draven is much more of a bully bot laner but he also has the highest risk-reward ratio due to how his passive works. If you don’t have strong lane fundamentals, you will likely struggle with this pick.

Jhin is often used to neutralize laning phase and scale decently later on. It’s best used with poke team compositions or with high pick potential.

A Tier - Cassiopeia, Ezreal, Hwei, Kalista, Miss Fortune, Twitch

Most of the A-tier champions are equally viable as the ones in S-tier but they must be played with their supports to work well. Champions like Ezreal needs good poke to be combined while someone like Kalista needs to have a support that can set her up during early game trades.

It’s worth mentioning that there are also two AP alternatives similar to Karthus: Cassiopeia and Hwei. If you have good proficiency on those champions, they can be viable as well and even flexed across different roles.

B Tier - Ashe, Caitlyn, Corki, Kai'Sa, Vayne, Xayah

While you see most of these champions like Ashe, Caitlyn, and Corki pop up in professional play, they do not have the same value in solo queue. This is because each champion requires a high level of coordination or communication that is never present in an uncoordinated environment.

Vayne and Kai’Sa can still 1v9 games if you’re able to put yourself into the right conditions, while Xayah should be picked only alongside Rakan to push her power up.

C Tier - Aphelios, Nilah, Yasuo, Zeri, Sivir

These champions are currently not in a great spot and unless you’re highly proficient, you aren’t likely to find good success with them. They require lots of time to scale and the enemies can take advantage of that to push leads, close out the games, or force you into taking unfavorable fights. Overall, there are many better picks out there.

D Tier - Rammus, Olaf, Rek'Sai, Rengar, Shyvana, Trundle, Darius

The champions in this tier are weak and out of meta. These can still have some value as counters, but they are usually much stronger alternatives. You won’t get much value by picking them unless you want to just have some fun playing a specific champion.

LoL ADC Tier List FAQ

Which are the best ADCs to pay in Patch 25.08?

Currently, the best ADC champions of the patch are Jinx, Lucian, and Tristana followed by Karthus, Jhin, and Varus.

Which are the worst ADC champions in the patch?

I would avoid playing weak champions such as Kog’Maw, Samira, and Senna. All of these champions need a lot of time to scale up and you will end up losing the lane priority in most matchups.

Which are the ADC champions to ban in Patch 25.08?

When it comes to ADC bans, you usually want to ban out champions that either heavily counter you in the laning phase or champions that can have lots of value in the later stages of the game. In the current meta, ban champions that can be played with several support combinations like Tristana, Draven, and Jinx, is ideal.
