LoL Patch 25.S1.2 – Mel is coming…
The new season has finally hit the live servers and we have already started seeing major shifts in the meta. With the introduction of Feats of Strength and the new epic monster Atakhan, the game feels generally more snowbally than before, allowing players to push their leads. Games also feel a lot more skirmish-heavy, given that teams have to contest the early objectives.
On the other hand, however, the game state is not as balanced and some players from the community have raised their concerns. It might take a while for players to figure out the meta and more balance changes will be needed. As always, we’ll add the tentative changes in the section below once they are leaked.
According to Riot Phroxzon, however, the game doesn’t look as snowbally as players perceive it. That being said, they will be tweaking down some of the most controversial elements to give space for players to get used to the new season, including changes to Atakhan and Bloody Roses.
In the meantime, Riot announced the new champion that will be hitting Summoner’s Rift, Mel Medarda from Arcane. The champion will be released in this patch and it will mark the 170th unique champion.
Patch 25.S1.1 Release Date
The official patch schedule for 2025 has been confirmed, and Patch 25.S1.2 will be released on January 23, 2025.
How will the upcoming patch shake the meta?
Given that there are no number changes announced, we’ll have to wait a little bit more to know what the meta will be like.
