Are Rocket League maps different sizes?

All Rocket League maps are split into two types, standard and non-standard.

Standard maps are the main maps used in ranked playlists, and they all have the exact same dimensions and boost pad layouts, in order to keep ranked games consistent and stay in line with RLCS. However, there is variation in the different environments of the standard maps, they could be set in an impressive stadium, deep underwater, miles away in space, or even on a farm!

Non-standard maps feature different shapes and sizes, creating a much more fun and unique experience. However, they are not included in the ranked playlists. You can find the best Rocket League mods, and non-standard maps such as Rocket Labs, Rumble, Chaos and other casual playlists. Some examples are Arctagon, Badlands, Tokyo Underpass, Pillars, Basin, Double Goal, Loophole and Galleon.

How many maps are in Rocket League?

There are 53 total standard maps in Rocket League, including different variations of the same map such as night/day/snowy/stormy.

Here are all Rocket League maps and variations:

  • Aquadome (Salty Shallows)
  • Beckwith Park (Day/Midnight/Snowy/Stormy)
  • Champions Field (Night/Day/Nike FC/NFL)
  • Deadeye Canyon (Oasis)
  • DFH Stadium (Day/Circuit/Snowy/Stormy)
  • Estadio Vida
  • Farmstead (Dusk/Night/Pitched/Stormy/The Upside Down)
  • Forbidden Temple (Dawn/Day/Fire & Ice)
  • Mannfield (Day/Dusk/Night/Snowy/Stormy)
  • Neo Tokyo (Rainy/Comic/Hacked)
  • Neon Fields
  • Rivals Arena
  • Salty Shores (Day/Night)
  • Starbase Arc (Aftermath)
  • Urban Central (Rainy/Dawn/Night/Haunted)
  • Utopia Coliseum (Day/Dusk/Gilded/Snowy)
  • Wasteland (Day/Night/Pitched)

Because of the maps providing no difference to gameplay, these maps have never been changed over the years. Some of them have been around since the initial release of Rocket League. New maps or map variations are always added at the start of every new season, along with the new rocket pass.

The most popular maps are those used in the RLCS map rotation. These include, Mannfield, DFH Stadium, Forbidden Temple, Utopia Night, Wasteland, Deadeye Canyon, Neo Tokyo, and of course, Champions Field.

In my opinion, Champions Field is the most hype and best Rocket League map. This is the map used for all series deciding games in RLCS. As a result, it has been the setting for some of the most iconic goals of all time.

Seeing the names of all RLCS World Championship Winners on the large banners above you as you spawn in with the sound of the crowd and the look of the magnificent stadium creates an intense and highly competitive atmosphere.
