LoL Worlds 2025 Statistics: Full Breakdown

Worlds 2025 featured a diverse champion pool, including debutants like Yunara, Mel, and Ambessa, all leaving their mark on Summoner’s Rift over 80 matches.

It was a career-defining tournament for many teams and players, both statistically and visually. With an average of 30 kills per game, Worlds 2025 was the bloodiest iteration of the event—no doubt due to the addition of Fearless Draft and two best-of-fives going the distance.

Now, it’s time to take a look at the statistical standouts in the LoL Worlds 2025 meta and the top performers in metrics like gold per minute (GPM), kill-death-assist ratio (KDA), and damage per minute (DPM).

Most Picked Champions

The Worlds 2025 meta was relatively cookie-cutter for the most part, despite the inclusion of Fearless Draft.

Most teams leaned on classic front-to-back team compositions with strong frontline and engage champions, such as Sion, K’Sante, Xin Zhao, Alistar, and Leona, as well as reliable carries like Corki, Orianna, Taliyah, and Yunara.

Alternatively, dive comps featuring Ambessa, Wukong, Vi, Kai’Sa, and Aurora also proved popular. Despite the general meta, Fearless Draft pushed teams to explore unique avenues with interesting compositions that focused more on zoning enemies from objectives and side lane pressure.

Here are the five most-picked champions in each role at LoL Worlds 2025:

Highest Win Rate Champions

The clear headliner at Worlds 2025 was jungler Dr. Mundo. He truly went where he pleased, piloted by G2 Esports’ Rudy “SkewMond” Semaan, T1’s Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun, and KT Rolster’s Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan across five games.

Still, Sion was undoubtedly the pick of the tournament. With 21 picks and a 67% win rate, the undying juggernaut dominated early before becoming one of the most-banned champions at Worlds 2025.

Other notable champions in this list include Yone and Varus. The latter, in particular, was an excellent fit into many team compositions, thanks to his strong laning phase and dependable wave clear.

Here are all the champions with the highest win rate at Worlds 2025 (with a minimum of five matches played):

Most Banned Champions

When it comes to the most-banned champions at Worlds 2025, Yunara and Azir were the clear frontrunners. Despite nerfs, Yunara remained a highly contested pick at the event. Azir, on the other hand, received buffs that catapulted him firmly into must-ban territory.

Poppy was also banned numerous times due to her draft flexibility—her ability to play Top, Jungle, and Mid combined with her powerful kit into dive compositions made her a common ban for many teams.

Other popular bans at the event included Qiyana, Neeko, and Orianna. Qiyana, in particular, was a terrifying champion in the hands of junglers like Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong, Oner, and Yu “JunJia” Chun-Chia.

Players With The Highest GPM

Unsurprisingly, nine out of the ten players with the highest GPM at Worlds 2025 are AD Carries. Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong’s inclusion is especially impressive, being the driving force for KT’s unforgettable run, which ultimately ended in heartbreak.

The inclusion of ADC legends Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk, Park “Viper” Do-hyeon, and Lee “Gumayusi” Min-heong was hardly unexpected, as they have been consistently world-class at multiple iterations of Worlds.

Also worthy of recognition is CTBC Flying Oyster’s ADC, Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan. The former Bilibili Gaming and PSG Talon player was a machine with his hyper-aggressive playstyle, boasting multiple mind-blowing Draven performances that put him among the top five.

These are the ten players who generated the most GPM at Worlds 2025:

Players With The Highest KDAs

As expected, Viper and Ruler feature among the players with the highest KDAs at Worlds 2025. The Hanwha Life Esports ADC, in particular, had a monstrous run, despite a Quarterfinals exit.

The dynamic duo of Bdd and Cuzz served as the engine that powered KT Rolster’s rollercoaster to a second-place finish. It is only fitting that the mid and jungle duo has identical KDAs. Without their impact, KT’s miracle run would’ve been hard to imagine.

Special mention goes to KT Rolster’s top laner, Lee “PerfecT” Seung-min, who was considered the weakest link in the team. His low death count and reliability proved pivotal to KT’s run until the very end, even if his final Yorick game against T1 ended in heartbreak.

Here are the top ten players who ended Worlds 2025 with the highest KDAs:

Players With The Highest DPM

Hanwha Life Esports’ superstar player Viper often solo carried games, even when his teammates struggled. His incredible Sivir and Ziggs performance against Gen.G in the Quarterfinals, which clocked him over 1100 DPM twice in the series, cemented his number one spot on the list.

Meanwhile, Doggo was the heart and soul of CTBC Flying Oyster’s fantastic run at Worlds 2025, while Ruler continued to show his trademark consistency. Despite a poor Worlds run for Bilibili Gaming, mid laner Zhuo “Knight” Ding was a beacon of hope for the LPL Split 3 champions with his consistent damage output.

As for The Unkillable Demon King Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Gumayusi—they were a deadly duo in clutch teamfight scenarios. Their exceptional spacing, killer instinct, and positioning allowed them to rain down tons of damage that eventually saw T1 win their sixth Worlds title.

LoL Worlds 2025: Regional Head-to-Head Records

As with every World Championship, there were plenty of regional clashes that added immense hype to the event. The LCK obliterated Worlds 2025 with a 25-5 record. The LPL was the only region to take more than a single game. KT Rolster, however, did not drop a game against the LPL.

While the LEC’s G2 Esports made it to the Playoffs, they were quickly dispatched by Top Esports. The remaining LEC and LTA representatives underdelivered. LTA’s FlyQuest had high expectations but failed to live up to them after crashing out 2-3 in the Swiss Stage.

Without major changes to the West’s approach and stronger talent development, the LCK and LPL will only widen the gap. The LCP exceeded expectations at Worlds 2025, largely due to CTBC Flying Oyster, though the region’s other teams still have much to prove internationally.

The table below breaks down the regional head-to-head records at Worlds 2025 (record includes individual games):

Biggest Surprises And Disappointments At Worlds 2025

Every World Championship has an underdog story, huge upsets, and unlikely disappointments—and Worlds 2025 was no exception. Throughout the Swiss Stage, the main talk of the town was the LCP champions, CTBC Flying Oyster.

The Flying Oysters managed to secure a slot in the Playoffs for the Asia-Pacific region for the first time in ten years. They also took down eventual champions T1 in the Swiss Stage and pushed Anyone’s Legend to the brink.

Bilibili Gaming was the biggest disappointment at Worlds 2025. The LPL’s #1 seed bombed out 2-3 in the Swiss Stage despite drawing four Western teams before facing Top Esports in the 2-2 decider. Their inconsistency left many questioning what went wrong for the 2024 finalists.

Individually, legacy players like Chen “Bin” Zhe-Bin, Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu, and Choi “Zeus” Woo-je struggled. On the flip side, players like Doggo, Jeong “Peter” Yoon-su, and PerfecT had some incredible performances that put them on the international radar for many viewers.

LoL Worlds 2025 Versus 2024

Thanks to Fearless Draft, Worlds 2025 had 12 more unique champion picks compared to Worlds 2024. While the increase isn’t huge, the number is likely to rise as more champions are released—like the new Darkin, Zaahen.

The average kills per game also went up at Worlds 2025, signifying the chaotic nature of Fearless Draft deep in a best-of-five as well as the skirmish-heavy nature of the current meta due to objectives such as Atakhan.

Worlds 2025 also featured an incredibly long game between Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports in the Quarterfinals. It nearly lasted an hour, with Gen.G ultimately taking the win. The average game duration saw a minimal decrease from Worlds 2024 to 2025.
