Treasure Chests in Clash of Clans only show up during the limited-time Treasure Hunt Event, which kicked off in September 2024. When it begins, Supercell hands out five free chests to every player through a special reward link; after that, you can earn up to three more every 48 hours by wrecking certain buildings in your Home Village during multiplayer raids.

Each chest needs four taps to open-on the first three taps you might even see its rarity jump from Common all the way to Legendary before you finally get to the goodies inside. Those goodies range from Gold, Elixir and Dark Elixir to Builder Gold, Builder Elixir, Capital Gold, all kinds of Magic Items, Decorations, and even Hero Skins or Equipment.
First you’ll want to launch Clash of Clans, then minimise (don’t close) the app. Next, fire up your browser and head to the official voucher redemption page-Supercell usually posts the link in their event announcement. Hit “Claim Reward” on the webpage and it’ll bounce you back into the game. There, you’ll see a pop-up: tap “Claim,” then “Okay” to lock it in. You now have five chests waiting; tap each one four times, and during taps one through three, keep an eye out for any rarity upgrades before the final fourth tap opens it.

Once you’ve got your freebies, you can keep coming back for more. Each successful Home Village multiplayer attack can net you a Treasure Chest-up to three within any 48-hour window. The trick is to destroy the specific buildings highlighted by the event visuals; each time you do, a chest drops for you to collect. But after three chests, you’ll have to wait for that 48-hour timer to reset before you can score any more.
Chests always start out as Common. With each of the first three taps there’s a chance it’ll upgrade-to Rare, then Epic, then Legendary-before the final tap (number four) actually reveals the contents. So even if it looks Common at first, it might surprise you. Common chests usually hold Magic Snacks and basic resources, Rare chests bump up the amounts and add some Magic Items, Epic ones toss in Decorations and better items, and Legendary chests give massive resource packs plus Hero Skins or Equipment.

Sometimes the voucher page won’t cooperate; for best results use Chrome or Firefox to avoid weird firewall or compatibility hiccups. Always update both your browser and the game client before you start, and make sure you’re on a stable, high-speed connection so you don’t time out during redemption.
If you run into errors, try switching to another device for the claim, then hop back to your main device. You can also try using a new or different Clash of Clans account.
And don’t forget to watch the in-game countdown so you know exactly when that 48-hour cooldown ends.
Finally, coordinate with your clan mates-plan your attacks so you’re hitting the right buildings for those extra chests.
