ESL One Hamburg 2018 is starting tomorrow, October 23rd and promises a lot of high level action for an entire week. Twelve teams will be fighting for a prize of $300.000 and with so many tier 1 teams competing, the spectacle will surely be something that you don’t want to miss as a Dota 2 fan.

Group Stage

Initially, the teams will be divided into 2 groups of 6 teams each.

Group A will almost certainly be dominated by Evil Geniuses and Team Secret, but Group B is a lot harder to predict. Apart from Virtus.pro, there are 3 other teams in this group who could finish 2^nd and secure an Upper Bracket position for the Main Event. These teams are 2^nd – 4^th on the list presented above.

As for the teams that are most likely to finish 5^th – 6^th and get sent home after the Group Stage of ESL One Hamburg 2018, I think that Alliance and paiN Gaming will crash and burn in Group A, while EVOS Esports and compLexity Gaming will do the same in Group B. There is very little that can save these 4 teams from elimination except a miraculous performance combined with a lot of mistakes from their opponents.
