Finally, after many weeks of waiting, Valve has released a new patch for Dota 2. And it is absolutely massive. New and reworked items, nerfed, buffed and reworked hero abilities, reworked map, new game mechanics and so on.
This is the first in a series of articles in which I will analyze the most important changes and their implications. Patch 7.20 is sure to change the game entirely and the tournament meta with it.

One of the exciting things about this new patch are the newly added items. And there are 5 of them in total:
As the name suggests, this is an upgraded weapon made from a Yasha and a Kaya. This will allow intelligence based heroes to upgrade their Kaya into something much better as the game progresses. It will also allow some agility based heroes who desperately need more mana to do a similar thing and upgrade their yasha into an Y & K instead of a S & Y if they see fit.
The item itself has the following characteristics:
All of these are great bonuses to have, at least for certain types of intelligence and agility based heroes. The item seems particularly well suited for intelligence based heroes who like to right click opponents, such as Lina, Storm Spirit and Enchantress, as well as for agility based heroes who would benefit from the added mana, mana loss reduction and spell amplification, such as Gyrocopter, Ember Spirit, Slark and Shadow Fiend.
This is another great item made from a Kaya and a Sange. The combination is very powerful and gives certain heroes just what they need to get an early advantage. I can totally see a hero such as Tiny or Sven buying this item.
The stats for Kaya and Sange are as follows:
Apart from being a component of Heart of Tarrasque and Holy Locket (another new item), it is difficult to say at this point what the purpose of this item will be. However, we’ll most likely see healers buying it with the intention of upgrading it to a Holy Locket.

The characteristics of Ring of Tarrasque are the following:
The item costs 700 gold, which is a little bit more than what you’d like to pay for these benefits. But still, the upgrade can definitely make it worthwhile.
This will be a great item for heroes like Dazzle, Omniknight, Winter Wyvern and Oracle.

Total cost: 2650 gold.
Characteristics:
This is a more general item designed to replace the Bracer, Wraith Band and Null Tallisman when building stronger items that previously required those components.
