Sergey ‘G’ Bragin and Vega Squadron Part Ways
A little more than a year after he joined Vega Squadron, Sergey ‘G’ Bragin parts ways with the CIS organization, having obtained very few notable achievements during his stay.
No doubt that Vega fans had high expectations from G, not only because of his career up until he joined Vega Squadron (he had played for Virtus.pro among other teams), but also because Vega’s former mid-laner had been Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko, a world class mid-laner currently playing for Virtus.pro.
Both Vega Squadron’s coach (Murielle “Kipspul” Huisman) and their eSports director (Georgy “drAmer” Faleev) had positive things to say about G, wishing him the best for the future.
“In the short time that we worked together, G impressed me with his knowledge and resilience. But our efforts as a team only led to meager rewards. While it pains me to see Sergey go, I think that it’s the best move for both him and for Vega. I wish him good of luck in his next squad. All the best!” – Murielle “Kipspul” Huisman
“Unfortunately, Vega Squadron’s and G’s paths diverge, by mutual agreement the parties decided not to renew the contract. I sincerely hope that this changes will benefit both the “Sharks” and Sergei. The renewed team will first appear on scene on the nearest ESL One qualifiers already in the first days of January 2018.” – Georgy “drAmer” Faleev
