Team Zero Reveals Dota 2 Roster Ahead of BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024

Team Zero has announced their Dota 2 roster with Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan as a stand-in for the recently-departed, Remus “ponlo” Goh. Team Zero revealed their roster for the upcoming qualifiers on their official Weibo account on Sep. 23.

The organization made its TI debut at the International 2024 (TI13) this year, but unfortunately exited with a last place finish. Now they’re looking to find more success in future tournaments.

Team Zero’s New Dota 2 Roster

Much like every other Dota 2 team participating in the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 Qualifiers, Team Zero also had little time to finalize their Dota 2 roster for the new season.

As a result, Pyw is merely a stand-in for their position-4 support role at the meantime. Nevertheless, the situation is still manageable since they only need to replace one player. This is also a great sign of Team Zero’s perseverance to compete with the same line-up.

Ponlo’s departure

Meanwhile, ponlo left Team Zero just days after elimination at TI13. Understandably, he’s upset with his performance despite making his TI debut. He shared his plans to play in a EU team, so hopefully things work out for him.

Nevertheless, the Singaporean Dota 2 player should be proud of what he has accomplished, representing Singapore’s Esports scene at TI13.

Team Zero at TI13

Despite placing last at TI13, Team Zero has accomplished several notable feat of making their way there. Starting from the China TI13 Qualifiers, Team Zero stood undefeated against other notable Chinese teams, such as G2 x iG and Azure Ray. Even in TI13 Group Stage, Team Zero managed to place first in their group, which include Team Falcons, BetBoom Team, and Nouns Esports.

Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there, as they fell to Aurora Gaming in the Seeding Decider. Before losing one more series against 1w Team in the Lower Bracket of TI13 Playoffs.

For what it’s worth, luck wasn’t on Team Zero’s side to advance any further into the Playoffs despite being the group’s top seeds. While ponlo has departed in search for a EU team, Team Zero has decided to stick with their old roster that has persisted for around two years.
