LoL Players getting banned for building the new Heartsteel item

League of Legends Season 13 preseason is about to go live soon and new items and new changes are available on the PBE server. Some of the players who bought one of the newest items “Heartsteel” in the game have been permanently banned from the server, according to the players’ tweets.

New Items Bring New Problems

League of Legends is one of the most played games in the world right now so it holds a huge community in its hands. Lots of players have been waiting for the start of Season 13 for a while now and some of the new changes were seen on the PBE server. Just like every new champion or item, Riot Games first introduces something broken and then fixes it as time passes. Hearthsteel is the newest member of the trend as it was obviously broken, shown in a YouTube video. Recently, some PBE players stated that their accounts were permanently banned without a solid reason.

PBE players are mostly content creators who try the upcoming stuff to the game. One of the YouTubers, Ross Boomsock tweeted that he had been banned because of the item and he also warned other PBE players not to buy it if they want to keep their accounts, at least for now. It became a huge subject to discuss on Reddit and multiple other people have also shown up, stating their accounts were also banned. The common problem with all the players was that they had all bought the item Heartsteel.

LoL Officials Respond

Another Redditor shared some information about the matter and League of Legends officials replied to it:

“I’ve looked into it and it seems that a lot of players reported the same thing around the time of your report. We’re currently aware of it and are working hard on a fix. However, I cannot provide any estimate for the completion date at this time. To avoid confusing or disappointing players, we try to only announce these dates when we are sure we can meet the arrival schedule.” he said.

PBE’s goal is very different from the normal or even the professional stage. It is more of a trial zone where players try out new stuff, so they are obviously not the best LoL players. PBE is also not the place for climbing the LoL ranks. However, they still hold a very important role in the ecosystem, mainly keeping the game more exciting and fresh with their new content. The League of Legends ecosystem is tied to each other and each part is very important. This issue should be resolved as soon as possible so that those content creators can continue pumping out new videos or content of any kind. Right now they are trying the new items but in the upcoming months, these items will be the ones that are used on the LoL esports stage.

It is obviously a mistake on Riot Games’ end so fans and content creators expect a fast solution for the matter. The company will probably unban all those who got banned without a solid reason.
