Patch Notes 8.21 Rundown


Alistar: Base health down from 613 to 573.

Ashe: Passive frost shot slow has been increased from 10-20% to 15-30%. To compensate, the crit slow has been reduced from x3 to x2. This intends to increase the effect of the slow early game, while not seriously increasing its effectiveness later on.

Aurelion Sol: Base health down by 52, now to 510. To slightly compensate in the laning phase, health regen is up to 7 from 6.5

Ezreal: Slight base damage increase at later levels of Essence Flux (W) 75/120/165/210/255 > 75/125/175/225/275

Irelia: Movement speed, 340 > 335. Fairly ignorable

Ivern: Movement speed, 325 > 330. On hit damage autos from the brush (W) has been increased at earlier levels, max level W damage remains unchanged. Base values on the shield (E) increased by 5 at all levels.

Kai Sa: It has finally come, Riot has decided to nerf Kai Sa. Her burst damage has taken a small hit, with the passive percentage health damage getting reduced by an entire 1% every 100 AP. The shield duration has also been lowered from 3 seconds to 2 seconds. Overall, Kai Sa has been nerfed quite fairly in the late game.

Karma: Root duration (W) increased at earlier levels, remains unchanged at level 5.

Karthus: Due to Karthus’s excessively high mana cost, Riot has decided to ease off the mana cost from some abilities. The Wall of Pain (W) has received both a mana and cooldown reduction, from 100 > 70 and 18 > 15 respectively.

Zac: Q base damage increased at all levels. 30/40/50/60/70 > 40/55/70/85/100

Zoe: Due to Zoe’s lowered play and win rate due to her major nerfs, Riot has added a bit more power to her. However, to avoid frustration, only her skill shot abilities has been buffed. Paddle Star (Q) will receive a base damage increase at all levels from 50/75/100/125/150 > 50/80/110/150/170. Cooldown for her drowsy (E) has been reduced at later levels.


Edge of Night: Cost cut by a 100 gold, now to 3000. The channel time for the shield has been reduced from 1.5 to 1 second, allowing for easier engagement and outplay potential with the use of vision.

Essence Reaver: A simple cost nerf of 3200 > 3000. This was due to its low purchase rate compared to other items.
