League of Legends Season 8 ranked rewards
The Season 8 for League of Legends ranked play is coming to an end, with Riot revealing that the ranked season will close on the 12th of November. Along with the post, the rank rewards have also been announced, with different tiers getting different rewards. This gives players less than a month from now to grind out ranked play in order to achieve the announced rewards.
Bronze & Silver – Players in Bronze or Silver will receive a summoner icon and an honor ward skin.
Gold, Platinum, Diamond & Master – As usual, players maintaining a rank of Gold or higher in the season’s ranked play will receive a Victorious skin. This season’s victorious skin will also include its chromas, allowing for a better customisation. Along with the victorious skin and chroma, the previous rewards will also be included (summoner icon and honor ward skin).
Challenger – Following last year, players in each region of the Challenger leaderboard will receive an exclusive Challenger reward. This reward comes with the previously mentioned rewards such as the summoner icon, honor ward skin and victorious skin.
Orianna will be this year’s featured champion to receive a Victorious skin. While it’s by no means a bad pick or champion, it comes as a surprise considering Orianna has not been one of the top picks in Season 8. That said, her play rate will likely spike as the season comes to an end.
The Challenger backpack will follow up last year’s Challenger jacket. Riot has likely chosen the backpack as this year’s reward due to its practicality, especially in use for gaming events and gatherings.
Note, the summoner icon will be unique depending on your finishing league (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Masters or Challenger). Furthermore, the honor ward skins will only be distributed to players who have achieved an honor rank of 3 and above.
