Pokémon GO Halloween Part 1 – Three days left to get your spookies
Pokémon Go’s next event has been announced. Following the conclusion of the Festival of Lights, Halloween Part 1 will arrive. This is always one of the most anticipated events of the year as the spawns and themed Pokémon are always a good time.
Mega Banette is making its Pokémon GO debut during this event to fit with the spooky theme. Here’s what you need to know.
Pokémon GO Halloween Part 1
From October 20 at 10 am local time to October 27 at 10 am local time, trainers will see all kinds of spooky Pokémon. Mega Banette and Altered Forme Giratina will be the Mega and Legendary Raids. During the event, Special Research from Rhi and Professor Willow will teach players more about Yamask and its Galarian counterpart.
For the first time, Galarian Yamask can be shiny!
Seven kilometer eggs earned during the event, which can be collected by opening gifts, will have themed Pokémon:
- Galarian Yamask (*shiny)
- Yamask (*shiny)
- Phantump
- Golett
- Noibat (*shiny)
The wild spawns will also be themed, with Dark and Ghost types spawning galore:
- Absol (can be shiny)
- Yamask (can be shiny)
- Zubat (can be shiny)
- Golett
- Gastly (can be shiny)
- Spinarak (can be shiny)
- Murkrow (can be shiny)
- Misdreavus (can be shiny)
- Sableye (can be shiny)
- Shuppet (can be shiny)
- Dusclops
- Drifloon (can be shiny)
- Phantump
- Pumpkaboo
During the event, certain bonuses are active:
- 2× catch candy
- 2× hatch candy
- Guaranteed candy XL when walking with buddy if over level 31
- 2× transfer candy
Raid schedule for Halloween Part 1
Here is what the Pokemon Go Raid Schedule looks like for Halloween Part 1. For one stars:
- Sableye (can be shiny)
- Purrloin
- Yamask (can be shiny)
- Galarian Yamask (can be shiny)
- Phantump
Three stars:
- Gengar (can be shiny)
- Umbreon
- Drifblim
- Drapeon
Most of these Pokémon are either Dark or Ghost type, so use Pokémon that can effectively take them down. For Dark, that’s Bug, Fairy and Fighting. For Ghost, that’s Ghost and Dark types.
Field research encounters will also give themed Pokémon:
- Shuppet (can be shiny)
- Phantump
- Duskull (can be shiny)
- Yamask (can be shiny)
- Galarian Yamask (can be shiny)
