Roobet Cup 2023 Grand Final Preview | Monte Win?

We’ve reached the Grand Final of the Roobet Cup 2023, bringing to a close one of the biggest CS2 tournaments to date. Online or not, we’ve seen a ton of impressive action from some of the best CS teams out there. Now, it’s just Monte and left in the tournament after sixteen teams entered. Who’ll take home the eye-watering $150,000 winner’s prize? Let’s take a closer look.

Monte’s Hopes

Monte are a team that just seem to go from strength to strength. In the later days of CS:GO, they were always on the online grind, ensuring they came into the early CS2 tournaments in the best shape possible. After a disappointing IEM Sydney 2023, the Roobet Cup 2023 was an opportunity for Monte to bounce back swiftly. And bounce back they have, only dropping a single map in the tournament so far.

You’ll certainly see tougher tournament runs than OG, NIP, Movistar Riders, and Aurora. However, Monte can only beat whoever is in front of them. Man for man, they’ve looked extremely confident. Every single player on the roster has posted a positive K/D ratio across the nine maps so far. We’re particularly impressed by kRaSnaL, and he’ll be key if Monte are to go all the way today.’s Chances

Whether you love or loathe Jame’s unique style of Counter-Strike, there’s no denying it’s ruthlessly effective. have been ruthlessly efficient throughout the Roobet Cup 2023, putting all of Spirit, Movistar Riders, OG, and FURIA to the sword with relative ease. Spirit and FURIA are marginally bigger scalps to take than NIP and Aurora on the Monte side, so you’d have to say VP have done well to make it all the way to the Grand Final.

Even when dropped a map against FURIA in the Roobet Cup 2023 Semi-Finals, they looked mostly in control of the entire affair. Monte are their biggest task so far, but they’ll be coming into the matchup full of confidence and with no reason to suggest they can’t get the job done.

Throughout this CS2 tournament, it’s only really n0rb3r7 who has underperformed on paper. His K/D stands at 0.88 so far, the only one on the team going negative so far. It’s going to be a tournament defined by fine margins, so we think a lot of’s chances hinge on whether n0rb3r7 shows up on the server today.
