KeyD Stars vs Red Canids – Valorant Challengers 2023: Brazil Split 1
The Valorant Challengers 2023: Brazil Split 1 will soon begin. This tournament will feature eight of the best teams of the region, all of which will compete against each other to determine the strongest team. Aside from the title of the strongest team of Brazil, the generous prize pool of almost $80,000 raises the stakes.
The opening match for the VCT 2023: Brazil Split 1 will be between KeyD Stars and RED Canids. What should make things much more interesting is the fact that both teams are playing with brand new rosters. Being the opener match, it will set the tone for the remainder of the tournament.
KeyD Stars vs Red Canids Match Preview
KeyD Stars have had more experience and trophies under their belt in comparison to their opponent. During the VCT 2021 Stage 3 Masters – Berlin they managed to land 9th-12th and even made an appearance in the Valorant Champions 2021. Considering that, it’s no surprise to see KeyD Stars be the fan favorites to win this match.
KeyD announced a new roster in early December of 2022. On the other hand, RED Canid signed a new roster just earlier this month, which could cause a bit of a setback for the team and tilt the scales in favor of KeyD Stars.
Additionally, just under a week ago, KeyD Stars signed former RED Canids coach (Koy) as part of their own roster. This could be yet another benefit for KeyD Stars since Koy will be able to share in-depth tactics the RED Canids team previously used. But we have yet to see how the new roster will adapt. RED Canids might not seem like the obvious winner at first glance, this team has a lot to prove and might even surprise us in the end.

Although the winning team of the opening match gets to go into the tournament with a big confidence boost, the losing team won’t experience any major setback. Since the tournament is set to last until mid March, there will be plenty of time for the loser of this match to bounce back. Fans are confident that KeyD Stars are taking the win for themselves, but will Julio “pollo” Silva be able to carry with Chamber after the recent nerfs?
