Clash of Clans World Championship 2023 Qualifiers: Register, Format, and Prize pool

Supercell has unveiled the Clash of Clans World Championship 2023 Qualifiers. These qualifiers, happening in September and October, will determine four teams in the Clash of Clans World Championship Finals. The qualifiers are open-for-all players, giving everyone a chance to go pro.

For 2023, the Clash of Clans World Championship underwent a significant change. The format of the tournament was changed with four teams qualifying for the World Championship Finals through as many different third-party events while the remaining four were through the Qualifiers.

Clash of Clans World Championship Qualifiers 2023 to happen across five stages

The Championship Qualifiers are set to kick off in early September. They will last for six weeks until mid-October until only four teams are left. The qualifiers will happen across five stages and will be open to all.

If you want to participate in the Qualifiers, you simply need to sign up for them through the tournament hub in-game. Once you’ve registered, you will need to compete in the Ladder, where all the clans will compete but only the top 128 will move onto stage two.

The second stage will feature a double-elimination bracket as the 128 teams will compete for 32 slots in Stage 3.

The third stage and fourth stages will follow the Swiss format, where the 32 teams compete amongst each other. Half of them will be eliminated, with only the top 16 making it to the fourth stage. From here, the top eight will make it to the penultimate round.

Finally, the eight remaining teams will compete in Stage Five for the four Golden Tickets to the Clash of Clans World Championship Finals 2023.

The format is as follows:

  • Stage one: Ladder (All clans)
  • Stage two: Double-elimination (128 teams)
  • Stage three: Swiss (32 teams)
  • Stage four: Swiss (16 teams)
  • Stage five: Double-elimination (Eight teams)

2023 World Championship Finals to feature a $1 million prize pool

The stakes are really high in the 2023 Clash of Clans World Championship Finals as the eight teams will battle for a share of the $1 million prize pool, with the winner walking away with $300,000. Additionally, the teams in Stages four and five of the qualifiers will also receive prize money. The complete split is as follows:

The World Championship Finals will happen from Nov. 24 to 26. The teams will battle across a double-elimination bracket to determine the champion.

So far, only two teams have confirmed their slots in the event. These are NAVI and Tribe Gaming, the winners of the Golden Ticket third-party events, the Queso Cup and Rush of Clans, respectively. The ClashMSTRS and the China Regionals will determine the two other third-party Golden Tickets.

Clash of Clans World Championship 2023 Teams

The ClashMSTRS is set to happen in August and September. The China Regionals, on the other hand, are currently ongoing with the Playoffs and are set to wrap up on July 30.

The World Championship Finals will be a LAN event and likely be open to a live audience as well. Supercell hasn’t revealed details about the venue yet, though.
