PMPL South Asia Championship Fall 2022 – Teams, Dates & Where to watch

The PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) South Asia Championship Fall 2022 will take place from Oct. 13 to 16. The top 16 teams from the region will be competing for a share of the $150,000 prize pool and three slots in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022.

The PMPL South Asia Championship features teams from three countries in the region, namely Nepal, Pakistan, and Mongolia. They have qualified for the tournament through either the PMPL Pakistan or the PMPL South Asia.

PMPL South Asia Championship 2022 Format & Teams

Tencent hasn’t announced the exact schedule for the South Asia Championship yet. Based on other regions, the teams will play six matches per day for a total of 18 games to decide the winners. The top 10 teams from the PMPL South Asia Fall and the top six teams from the PMPL Pakistan Fall 2022 have made it to the championship.

The matches will take place in Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok.

Besides the huge $150,000 prize pool. Three teams will qualify for the PMGC 2022. 

The PMGC is set to begin in late November with its league stage. The league stage will feature 48 teams from around the world competing across four weeks for the 13 spots in the grand finals. 

The grand finals of the PMGC 2022 will take place as a LAN event in Indonesia in January 2023. Directly invited teams will join the 13 invited teams to fight for the title of world champions. Additionally, the PMGC 2022 is offering a massive prize pool of $4 million.

Three of the 16 competing teams in the PMPL South Asia Championship have already qualified for the PMGC 2022 through regional leagues. These are GodLike Stalwart and IHC Esports (PMPL South Asia) and i8 Esports (PMPL Pakistan).

If any of these teams place in the top three in the championship, the PMGC slot will be given to the next highest-placed team in the standings.
