While BLAST Slam III only just wrapped up, BLAST still have some surprises up their sleeve as they announce BLAST SLAM IV will be held in Singapore and will be the Dota 2 tournament series’ first Arena event.
The news was announced via Twitter on Friday, May 9, with an accompanying blog post, revealing that BLAST Slam will evolve its format. Here’s what we know.

BLAST recently entered the Dota 2 tournament scene and organized three amazing events, including the just concluded BLAST Slam III. Now, for the first time BLAST Slam will hold a Dota 2 arena event in a dramatic shift in the format.
The BLAST Slam tournaments have traditionally been LAN events held in a studio, with limited or no audience attendance. However, from November, BLAST Slam will be more akin to a traditional Dota 2 major. Teams that attend the event will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool and have the chance to play in the iconic Singapore Indoor Stadium – the venue that hosted the finals of The International 2022 (TI12).
As per the announcement, BLAST Slam IV will be held between November 7 and 9. BLAST Slam IV: Singapore will feature feature three full days in the arena, presumably the finals of the event. This will be the first major Dota 2 tournament in the country since TI12.
Tickets are not currently on sale, but fans will have access to tickets a day before the general sale as long as they register on BLAST.tv. More info about tickets will be released by BLAST soon. Beyond this, there’s also Tickets+Hotel Packages which may take the sting out of the expensive Singapore travel for some people.
BLAST has rapidly become one of the premier tournament organizers in the Dota 2 scene, competing directly with ESL FACEIT and PGL for a spot as one of the pillars of the game. This latest event showcases their commitment to Dota 2 and enhancing the ecosystem.
