BTS Pro Series Season 8 Match Analysis & Odds powered by N1bet

The BTS Pro Series is a long-running series that has consistently kept us Dota 2 fans occupied. More often than not, we overlook the effort put behind the scenes to deliver the best Dota 2 action from top teams and generous prize pools in these trying times.

During this pre-Ti10 period, any high profile competition is essential to keep teams relevant. None of this would have been possible without N1Bet, the sponsor of BTS Pro Series Season 8, and provider of Dota 2 odds for today’s selection.

BTS Pro Series Season 8 Teams and Favorites

The BTS Pro Series Season 8 welcomes decent competition with plenty former Dota Pro Circuit 2021 (DPC 2021) contenders in attendance.

We have Execration, OB Esports x Neon, Army Geniuses, BOOM Esports, Team SMG, Galaxy Racer, Motivate.Trust Gaming, Polaris Esports, Dream Maker and Yangon Galacticos at the Southeast Asia regional.

The BTS Americas’ side also has a fair share of incredible teams: NoPing e-sports, 4 Zoomers, INF.UEESPORTS, TEAM TEAM, Black N Yellow, Fúria Jovem, D2 Hustlers, brown n’ white rice, Hokori, and Infinity are all in attendance.

The tournament format will kick off with a standard group stage, consisting of single round-robin best-of-two matches. Then, the top eight teams proceed to the playoffs, where the double-elimination best-of-three matches await the victors. Pretty standard thus far. We are looking at BOOM Esports and 4 Zoomers as the main favorites in both regions. Both teams went through a roster change that makes them fierce competitors for the fall/winter season.

Lets kick things off with four match predictions for the opening round.

NoPing e-sports vs D2 Hustlers (BTS Americas)

NoPing is a rising star from the South American pro scene, having delivered phenomenal results in the second half of DPC 2021. Although NoPing did, unfortunately, fall just short of securing an invite to the International 10, they still pose a fearsome line-up for the upcoming games.

D2 Hustlers, on the other hand, is a team of misfits who shockingly delivered in the DPC 2021. While not as prominent as NoPing, they can certainly give the lather a run for their money. Of course, NoPing’s brand name on its own is credible enough to set them as the bigger favorites in this match.

I didn’t expect the odds to be extremely stacked on D2 Hustlers at x9.63 versus NoPing at only x1.67 returns. With such odds on the underdog, perhaps an oddball bet on D2 Hustlers isn’t too shabby as a first match. Ideally, you would want to play this one as a singles selection.

Execration vs OB Esports x Neon (BTS SEA)

We highly regard this match as a must-watch on your bucket list of games on September 7. Execration and OB.Neon are amongst the most consistent Filipino squads in the SEA region, having proved their worth in countless games.

What makes the match even more exciting is the disruptive roster shuffle occurring across the region too. Notably, OB.Neon will be playing with four new players, which can cause a drastic shift in the teams’ usual drafts, strategies and even team composition.

Execration is only missing a hard carry player themselves, albeit a vital chess piece in any team. OB.Neon questionably has better odds despite their poor showing and scattered line-up of all-stars. Whereby a clean sweep victory would land x2.12 for OB.Neon or x6.05 returns for Execration.

Execration should definitely be your go-to pick in this match, just because of how bad the lather is currently.

4 Zoomers vs 4Gringos (BTS Americas)

Another team that has been the talk of the town is 4 Zoomers, featuring a revamped line-up. Most notably, fans are excited about Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao’s return to the North American scene. The veteran has had a rough DPC season but could potentially become a NA powerhouse soon, at least that’s what fans hope.

Regardless, we can rest assured that EternaLEnVy lives up to his name as an established pro player. Their first match is against 4Gringos, a team that isn’t familiar even in the local Americas scene. We see yet another extremely biased odds in favor of 4 Zoomers at x1.42 odds versus BNWR at x14.18 odds.

Unlike the first match, we don’t see even a glimmer of hope for BNWR to snatch a game. After all, alongside EE are two seasoned players in Nico “Gunnar” Lopez and David “Moo” Hull, making this a clear cut selection.

BOOM Esports vs Yangon Galacticos (BTS SEA)

We aren’t going to let the OB.Neon fans leave empty-handed with no promising bets. The remnants of two OB.Neon players currently reside in BOOM.Once hailed as Indonesia’s strongest team, they were losing out on essential tournaments and had a poor showing in 2021. The glory days that BOOM once shared in 2020 were long gone, and BOOM needed a roster change.

With a new line-up and hopes, perhaps the new BOOM line-up can finally bring the team into the international spotlight at the BTS Pro Series Season 8 SEA. As for their opponents in this match, the Burmese team is the first team to venture into DPC 2021. While that on its own is a remarkable feat, BOOM is still the bigger fish heading into this match. Dota 2 odds-wise, we are looking at x1.42 on BOOM while YG has x14.18 returns.

Combining the 3 matches, should earn you x14.26 in returns. All things considered, it’s really a frenzy of roster shuffles for the weekend at BTS Pro Series Season 8 SEA. Nevertheless, we could get some exciting betting slips off the Americas if Dota 2 betting is your calling.
