ESL One Cologne 2018 Playoff Predictions
With the games above in mind, it’s the perfect time to make some predictions on who is most likely to win the ESL One Cologne 2018 playoffs.
Quarterfinal 1
We think it’ll be a close game between Fnatic and NaVi – it’ll be too hard to predict which team will go through.
If we had to make a choice, though, Fnatic’s shaky performance against FaZe before they fell into the quarterfinals made us doubt their performance potential against any of the top teams, so maybe a small bet on NaVi would be wise.
Quarterfinal 2
BIG had a lucky run in the lower bracket, whilst G2 had an unlucky run against Astralis. It’s safe to say that G2 should come out on top here, and BIG would have to pull out something incredible to get a win.
Semifinal 1
Can Astralis be beaten here? We doubt it – both Fnatic and NaVi are playing pretty well, but Astralis are still playing out of their minds. Not necessarily an easy one for Astralis, but it should be a fairly safe win for them regardless.
Semifinal 2
FaZe’s roster is a little all over the place right now, but even despite that, they’re performing wonderfully. We think FaZe will most likely have it against G2, and will definitely have it against BIG if they somehow make it to the semifinal.
Grand final
An Astralis versus FaZe grand final is likely, and we’d expect Astralis to come out on top here. FaZe is performing great, but without their full roster, they are still slightly handicapped. Astralis, on the other hand, are on the biggest highlight in their collective career and it’s almost as if nothing can stop them.
