Crazy Raccoon Valorant roster released – What are the likely new recruits?

Crazy Raccoon Valorant roster has been entirely released this week, even letting go of their main coach. Once the game found its feet, and become a pretty well-established esport, teams are now looking to make big changes coming into next season.

All teams are taking a fresh look at their players, and Crazy Raccoon decided to make a massive overhaul.

Crazy Raccoon’s Valorant performance in 2021

Crazy Racoon is a Japanese esports org. They’ve been playing in Valorant since 2020, having had quite a few players move in and out of the team over time. They did see some early success in Valorant, but dropped off more recently. In 2020 they had some good results, like finishing second in the UTAGE Valorant Season 2. In 2021, they’ve moved into higher tiers of play.

The team finished first at their first few tournaments in 2021, taking the TechnoBlood Climber Summit, Japan Stag 1 Masters, and Stage 2 Challengers Finals. These results were pretty promising for the team, at least as far as regional competitions are concerned. Going into the second half of the year, Crazy Racoon did begin to fumble. At the Stage 3 Masters in Berlin, they placed 9th – 12th. At the Valorant Champions 2021, they came in 13th-16th.

Their performance was pretty poor, with them failing to win a single map. Going home on this result for the year, seems to be a big disappointment for the organization. While the team has excelled in more local tournaments, these results show a bit of a problem at the international stage. With Valorant changing quite a bit this season, and further changes coming next, the organization decided to move in a new direction.

Crazy Racoon Valorant Roster Released

The team announced that Hideki “Fisker” Sasaki, Daiki “Minty” Kato, An “Medusa” Min-Cheol, Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki, and Yusuke “mun” Ota are all released from the organization. Their active player roster currently consists of just neth after another player moved over to be just a streamer.

Crazy Racoon isn’t leaving Valorant entirely though. Instead, they will be searching out a new line-up before the 2022 season behinds. The dropped players are unlikely to be leaving the game right now either since their recent results were pretty strong outside of the Championship. Bazzi has moved on already, moving over to Esports connected.

The running rumor is that the organization will look to Korean talent to fill in some of the spots on the roster. As of now, Ryo “barce” Takebayashi and Kakeru “Vorz” Ikarashi seem like the ideal choices for the organization from the local scene, while Kim “Zest” Gi-seok could be a solid pick from the Korean circuit.
