DreamLeague Season 13 Favorites

Here’s a brief analysis of the DreamLeague Season 13 favorites:

TNC Predator

TNC already won the first Major of the season and is practically qualified for The International 2020. Now it’s just a matter of staying competitive and proving that even against the likes of Secret and Nigma, the roster can prevail.

The reason why TNC is so strong at the moment has to do with its mixture of players. Three of the most experienced and talented players from the Philippines have joined forces with a former TI finalist (kpii) and two South Koreans. Together, they looked unstoppable at MDL Chengdu Major.

Going into DreamLeague Season 13, TNC Predator should easily finish in the top four.

Team Secret

Team Secret is now playing with MATUMBAMAN instead of MidOne. It is not yet clear how strong the new roster is, but considering the fact that they managed to beat both Alliance and Nigma in the European Qualifiers for this tournament it’s likely that they’re just as good as they were last year. Keep in mind that Secret won the previous edition of Dota Pro Circuit and then finished 4th at The International 2019. This year, they’re expected to play well and stay at the top.

Going into DreamLeague Season 13, anything worse than 4th place would be a massive disappointment for Puppey and his squad. All things considered, they probably want to win the event. But it will be hard to do so against the mighty Chinese and SEA teams. Even Evil Geniuses is in great shape, so the rivalry at the top will be great.

Vici Gaming

Vici Gaming is by far the strongest team in China at the moment. At MDL Chengdu Major they finished 2nd after a close defeat against TNC Predator. Then, at the recent ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore, the team demolished all opposition and won the Grand Final against Evil Geniuses without losing a single game (3 – 0).

Quite clearly, the team’s roster is operating at maximum capacity. And with world-class players like Eurus around, the team just steamrolls over every opponent.

At DreamLeague Season 13, I expect Vici Gaming to get a top 3 result.

Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses is another big name at any event these days, simply because they have a solid trio with a lot of experience, made up of Fly, Cr1t- and Arteezy. And the remaining two players are among the best in the world. Both Abed and RAMZES are famous for their skills. Abed is known as the first player in the world to reach 10,000 MMR, while RAMZES used to be a formidable carry. Right now he plays as the team’s offlaner, but his understanding of the game makes him perfectly qualified to play just about any role he wants.

Going into DreamLeague Season 13, EG is likely to get a 4th place result.
