OG win Macau Minor, move to 8th place in Dota Pro Circuit rankings.

After a dominant group stage and stellar knockout round performances from Resolut1on and N0tail, OG regain their stride along with valuable circuit points.

OG have been a team synonymous with high achievement almost since their inception. After a rocky start to the 2017-2018 competitive season and a key roster change at the end of Summer, it seems like OG are now firing on all cylinders as they made quick work of Na’Vi and TNC Pro Team without losing a game. Quick can be used loosely in some sense as the first game against TNC took roughly 62 minutes to end, but Resolut1on’s performance on a variety of heroes proved the difference maker. His performance on Morphling made the opposition prioritize the pick for the rest of the series as the Ukrainian mid laner continues to be a revelation for a surging OG.

Many OG fans were delighted at the performance of N0tail throughout the tournament. His patience and composure in crunch time situations during the MDL Macau Minor proved invaluable as he was able to set up play after play for his team down the stretch. When N0tail is at his best, it translates to OG being at their most optimal level and that rang true once again for their performances at the MDL Macau Minor.

There is still a lot of improvement to be had if they want to erase that 8th place finish from The International 2017 just a few months back. As other top teams such as Team Secret and Team Liquid continue to place high in their competitions, OG must follow the pack and maintain that competitive edge to claw themselves higher up the Dota Pro Circuit rankings. OG currently occupy the 8th position with 450 qualifying points.
