Clash of Clans June 2025 Balance Changes: Full Patch Breakdown
Supercell’s June 2025 balance update is out now. And it is already causing quite a buzz in the Clash of Clans community. The patch changes lots of troops and defenses from Town Hall 10 up to 16, but the biggest thing everyone’s talking about is the Root Rider’s damage being cut in half. It’s probably the biggest change we’ve seen in a long time, especially since players were just settling into the usual meta.

For many players, the Root Rider nerf came as a real surprise – cutting its damage this much looks like Supercell wants to really shake up war strategies and competitive play. What’s strange though, is that this update came right in the middle of Clan War Leagues, and a lot of people are wondering why they picked such a weird time for it. Before we dive in, check Clan War and all the other event schedules for this season from here.

Game Economy & Quality of Life Updates
Wall Rings now cover more resources – one ring can handle up to 1 million, which makes upgrading walls easier. Town Hall 12 players also get bigger storage now: they can hold up to 12 million Elixir and Gold, plus 240,000 Dark Elixir, which helps with training troops and upgrades.
The Treasury capacity has been increased for all Town Halls, and Star Bonus rewards got a good boost too, giving more resources for every league level. Clan War loot percentages have also been raised:
- Win: from 600% to 700%
- Draw: from 240% to 350%
- Loss: from 180% to 300%
The Trader now offers more Wall Rings in the game, helping players upgrade their bases faster.
Spell Changes
Lightning Spell now does more damage at every level, so it’s better at destroying enemy defenses.
Freeze Spell is easier to use now: it needs only 1 housing space, training costs and time got cut in half, donation cost dropped by 50%, but the duration got a bit shorter to keep it balanced.
Clone Spell got cheaper and smaller too: it now takes 3 housing space, training and donation costs dropped by 25%, and the cloned troops also use 25% less housing space – making it more strategic.
Defense Tweaks
Players now have to place all available buildings before they can upgrade to the next Town Hall, which makes progression more balanced.
Archer Towers got a small DPS decrease on levels 12 to 14, probably so they don’t get too strong.
Inferno Towers saw some changes:
- Single Mode damage went up on levels 4 and 5, making it better against tough units.
- Multi Mode DPS increased to handle groups of attackers better.
Bomb Tower damage also increased on levels 5 and 6, making it stronger against ground troops.
Eagle Artillery lost its 3x damage bonus against Golems – this should balance things out in high-level attacks.
Troop Adjustments
Healers heal slower on levels 4 and 5 now, which might change how people use them.
Miners got faster – movement speed went from 250 to 400, and they come up and go down faster (0.6 seconds instead of 1.2), so they can attack more quickly.
Giants got more hit points on levels 7 and 8, making them tougher tanks.
Bowlers got a DPS nerf on levels 1 to 3, balancing their area damage.
P.E.K.K.A’s HP increased on levels 5 and 6, and training costs went down, so they’re easier to bring into battle.
Dragons also got more HP on levels 5 and 6 and cost less to train.
Witches got a mix of changes:
- Level 1 got more HP (270 to 320), DPS doubled (50 to 100), and more skeletons spawned (3 to 4).
- Level 2 HP went up (300 to 360), DPS doubled (60 to 120), skeleton count stays the same.
- Level 3 HP increased (330 to 400), DPS doubled (70 to 140), but skeletons decreased (5 to 4) to keep them balanced.
Builder Base Updates
Builder Hall level 8 got 20 new wall pieces (4 segments), which adds more defense options.
Super P.E.K.K.A’s death damage decreased across all levels, lowering its effect after it’s destroyed.
Final Thoughts
The Root Rider nerf is definitely the most talked-about change. Many players think this makes the troop almost useless now. Forums and Reddit have been full of complaints, especially since this happened right during Clan War Leagues.
This Clash of Clans June 2025 balance changes feels like one of Supercell’s strongest attempts at balancing recently – it’s clearly trying to fix overused strategies. While Root Rider’s nerf is the main focus, buffs to Bowlers and other classic troops might bring some new strategies to wars. We’ll have to wait and see if this patch really changes the meta – but one thing’s for sure, battles will be a lot less predictable now.
