Blizzard’s biggest event is back and better than before!

Blizzcon, the most prestigious and biggest Blizzard event of the year is coming back around! As every year, Blizzcon is taking place in November – specifically, on November 1st and 2nd. Again, as always, the whole deal is going down at the Anaheim Convention Center, or rather the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Now, if you want to grab tickets for the event you can do so pretty soon – they go on sale on May 4th, and they do tend to sell out somewhat quickly, so if you want to go, you should plan your trip soon! As was the case last year, you’ll be able to buy virtual tickets as well – although you’ll miss out on the goodie bags, you can watch panels and the like online, and you also get some DLC – last year, an exclusive Overwatch-skin for Sombra was available with the pass.

While most of this is quite similar to last year and the years before, there are, in fact, some new things there this year as well. One such thing are the Pregame Festivities – and no, that’s not a drinking game! The day before the big event launches, a ‘fun and casual get-together’ is taking place outside of the convention centre.

BlizzCon has served as a home away from home for the Blizzard community, a place where online friends can meet up in real life and new friendships are formed. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the show this year, reconnecting, celebrating, and sharing some of our latest developments.” said J. Allen Brack, president of Blizzard Entertainment.

Attendants of BlizzCon get various other perks as well – one of them includes a Commemorative Collectible Statue that visitors get to choose when buying their ticket. In celebration of World of Warcraft’s 25th anniversary, players get to pick between a bold Human Footman and mighty Orc Grunt.

Now if you want one of these statues without attending, or you want both, you can buy them separately during a limited window on the BlizzCon website. For a complete experience, you can even use the blizzcon.com website in order to book hotel reservations for the con at special rates.

Speaking of special rates – the tickets for BlizzCon aren’t cheap. Regular tickets are $229, while Portal Passes are $550 – this ticket gives you additional access to special areas at the Con, as well as priority entry, preferred parking, separate security lines and more.

The last tier of tickets cost $750 – it gives you access to the stuff the Portal Pass does, but also to the BlizzCon Benefit Dinner, where visitors get to chat to the designers, artists, developers and more – the whole thing is a charity dinner as well, the proceeds of which are going to CHOC Children’s, an organisation that aims to nurture, advance and protect the health of kids. They aim to support sick or injured kids in their daily lives.
