Everything Announced at the Rainbow Six Siege X Roadmap Reveal
Season 1 – Operation Deadly Omen
The first season of Year 10 is already underway. Rauora, a new attacker from New Zealand, introduced a game-changing gadget: attackers can now barricade doorways, a mechanic previously exclusive to defenders. This gives attackers more control over map flow and adds a new layer of strategy.
Season 1 also included a Clubhouse rework, onboarding improvements for new players, and tweaks to existing systems. It set the tone for what’s coming next.
Season 2 – Operation Daybreak (Launching June 10)

R6 ShieldGuard and Reputation System
As we previously covered in our Six Siege X release date article, Ubisoft is setting the stage not just for a new era of Rainbow Six Siege but also for a safer, more welcoming community. With this latest reveal, we’re getting a clearer look at R6 ShieldGuard, a real-time updating anti-cheat system, alongside the fully activated Reputation System aimed at reducing toxicity and promoting fair play.
These quality-of-life improvements signal Ubisoft’s ongoing push to improve the overall experience in Six Siege X. Even more features are on the way, like Voice Chat Moderation, Improved Privacy Settings, Better Abandon Penalties, and better In-Game Reporting.
What Do We Think of the Rainbow Six Siege X Roadmap Reveal?
With all the controversies surrounding Ubisoft lately, they really need a win, and Rainbow Six Siege X might just be it. We’ve seen how things went sideways with XDefiant and other recent launches, but there’s still hope that Ubisoft can pull this one off. And if this roadmap is anything to go by, they’re at least headed in the right direction.
Sure, a lot of the updates seem focused on the pro scene, but they’ve also promised more content and improvements for casual players and newcomers alike. Combine that with the new anti-cheat system, the long-awaited push against toxicity, and a cleaner, more welcoming experience overall, and it’s hard not to be a little optimistic.
At the end of the day, Siege X isn’t just about keeping the competitive edge sharp—it’s about bringing everyone back into the fold. If Ubisoft delivers on even half of what they’re promising, Rainbow Six Siege X could be the fresh start the franchise (and the community) has been waiting for.
